Bottle 750ml. Pours black with high beige head. Aroma and taste are of roasted malt, caramel, sweet. Sligthly bitter in the finish. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Overall: Not my, but I would not get out of my way to drink it again. Still a pretty decent IS.

Pours raisin brown, thin persistent head and delicate lacing remains. Roasted malt dominates, with tones of raisin and a slight touch of chocolate. A tad more carbonated than most stouts, which with the lighter flavor makes this come off almost like a porter. Nice and drinkable, certainly wouldn't kick it out of bed, but not extraordinary. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a black colour with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, raisins and some sweetish notes. Flavour of strong roasted malts, raisins, green apples, caramel and some grassy notes. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a roasty, bitter, slightly sweet finish. Tasty.

Nose of dark fruit - dates, prunes, raisins and hints of roasted malts and chocolate. Pours a deep black with a dark tan, mostly lasting tan head and spotty lacing. The taste has a rich bittness to it with a slight hint of sweetness. Dark roasted malts, dark chocolate, with hints of coffee and port. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, an excellent imperial stout. This would be an interesting after dinner drink.

Bottle (750 ml). Thanks David! Black with a frothy beige head, good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and liquorice. Taste is moderately sweet and about the same as aroma. Slight bitter finish. Medium body. Slight bitter finish. Really smooth RIS. Not too complex, but drinkable. Enjoyable.

Opaque black - brown beer. Massive pale tan head. Palate is fairly neutral. Fresh dark malts - semi sweet. Mild roast and tang. Brett. Mild tangy dark fruits and dark chocolate. Finishes semi dry with more dark fruit tang - fig and prune. Lactose. Very drinkable.

far too mellow a flavor profile for me to enjoy considering the label of an imperial stout. on the other hand, i would recommend troubadour’s obscura, aptly labled a ’mild stout’.

Tap. Pours jet black with khaki head. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Taste is different from American IPA smaller body with lots of fruity malt and roast coffee.
