Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 31, 2011
Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Theis. Pours a cloudy orangey brown with a dense and lacing light brown head. Subtle roasty nose, some dark fruits up there too. Solid body, heavy roast and licorice with quite some malt bitterness. Some phenols too from what I believe is Belgian yeast. Not so shit hot for an Imperial Stout. 311011

Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier; cap number 0605120222
Very dark color, almost black; it has a frothy large head, persistent. Mild aroma of roasted malts, and mild hops. Good flavor of dark caramel, mild roasted malt, dark chocolate, with good hops and correct bitterness. In the final, there is some spicy yeast.
It’s a good dark Belgian beer with a little extra roastiness and hops.
