3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Towering, thick cream-orange head over hazy orange beer, beautiful lace. Very fruity, citrussy hops; exotic fruit jumping out of the glass; freshly pressed grapefruit. Very bitter flavour, again quite fruity, citrus peel, citrusmarmalade. Very bitter finish too, bit metallic or quinine-like. Very spritzy, medium bodied and quite slick. Strange, I definitely seem to prefer the classical 33 cl version, rather than this Special Edition. Bitterness here is too harsh, and quite expressly so.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
75 cl. bottle/shared@Kulminator: hazy orange with a thick, solid white head that laces very thick, smell is way better than the taste lots of aromatic cascade hops, some yeast, citrus hops, fruity oranges, great, taste on the other hand is rather monotonous lots of bitter citric hops, going to lemon acid, too much booze, misplaced barnyard, very bitter grapefruit, plenty of bitter Belgian yeast, yeasty body, slight grass, I do really dig the regular Magma

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy, light amber with a big, creamy off-white head. Good lacing. Slightly tart, citrus hop aroma. As it warms, it develops a grassy and spicy touch as well as slight notes of yeast. Flavour is hoppy (citrus) and bitter, with dark fruits and a slight tartness. Alcohol as it warms. Malt in the background. Finish is bitter hops with an alcohol burn. Lingering dryness with grassy notes. Dark fruits as it warms. Very soft palate; almost velvety with a perfect amount of carbonation to not make it cloying. Overall pretty good, although not all the way up there. 23.10.11.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a nice hazy orange color with a frothy white head. Aroma is quite hoppy with grapefruit and orange notes, along with some chalky yeast components and also peppery notes, light pear and apple and some yeast esters. The flavor is again quite hoppy with lots of grapefruit and orange, with some earthiness, peppery and chalky notes, along with the pear and apple. The body is medium with a dry chalky mouthfeel. Overall a pretty nice Belgian styl DIPA.
