Another brew provided by Chipalsa. Thanks! Nose is fruity grapefruit, some spices, yeast, melon, and more hops haha. The body was a nice hazy orange color with a white head and sticky lacing. I got a lot of pine and orange zest paired with other fruity esters in the taste. I found the malt and hop balance spot on, making this one really dangerous and drinkable. This one was not overcarbonated, adding more to the drinkability. Good stuff. The first hoppy tripel I’ve had and it’s great.

With a hazy orange body and thick head, this beer appeared to be highly carbonated. Aromas were floral of hops and tropical fruits with a delicate hint of yeast. There was a mild hop character in the flavor, as well as strawn and mango, finishing with a dry hop aftertaste. This brew wasn’t too complex, but very light and refreshing... given the 9% abv.

750 bottle. Pours hazy gold with a small white head. Spicy, mildly hoppy nose with a yeasty presence. Taste is actually a tad sweet, with a nice mild hop profile and an alcohol presence that’s enhances the flavors. Very smooth with some decent carbonation. This bottle may be slightly old/mishandled but the taste is excellent. I would like to have this one fresh. Nice beer.

750ml from Ridgewood Wine and Beer, Raleigh. Pretty interesting brew. A hefty, cloudy orange pour with a fine filmy head. Sharp esters and potent hops in the nose. And even though it was only released a few months ago, there’s already a faded quality to it. Nonetheless, very well balanced and complex tripel, combining grassy, floral, and spicy notes quite enjoyably.

Bottle. Poured hazy copper with an average to large frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Complex funky hop and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration with a small alcohol bite. This is a interesting complex beer.

Thanks T-Money. Very strange beer. Looks great. Smells funky. Starts out tasting bad and finish well. Complex, weird beer.

I just don’t like this as much as the regular. This one seems boozier, don’t know why, maybe this hop bill just doesn’t mask it the same way as the simcoe.

A little bit of everything, booze, hay, hops and malt. Somehow, it all comes together very nicely. Cheers!
