Orange, nice head. Grassy, very malty aroma. Taste is mostly of sweet malt, with a sharp bitterness and some grassy/citrus notes, more towards grassy. Seems to be not a lot of late hop additions, but it hides alcohol really well and has actually a really solid malt body.

Deep gold with high white head. Surprize - american hops on the nose! First sip - very americanish IPA with a long alco burn after, reminding me we’re in Belgian teritories. Sweet taste, followed by short bitter aftertase, dry finish and long burning (cough syrup kind) finale. Interesting. I have no idea what would the whole bottle do to me. It’s a one glass thing. Name says it all - Magma.

bottle. Amber with two finger head. I’ve never had a triple IPA before, and was expecting to be blown away with hops. Not so. Substantial malt base, light spicing, and fairly mild hops. Tasty.

McWorta (487) - LUXEMBOURG - APR 18, 2014
Solid dark orange yeast haze coloured beer with a large slowly fading dark white pillowy head. Noses of grapefruit, orange and faint caramel aromas. The taste is showing a light livelyness with a thin somewhat light soft slick texture. The beer tastes light sweet which develops further into orange zesty sweetness with a light fruity bitterness. The body is medium and well balanced. The finish is fruity dry and lasting on the back of the palate.

On draft at Yard House. Nose is caramel, malt, and if you looking for it tangerines. Strong malt backbone. Very tasty.

330 ml, flaske, 9,0 % ABV, købt i Den Belgiske Ølbutik i Vanløse, 18. april 2014. Tør afslutning, men god lang eftersmag. Øllet ligger rart i munden med en smule blødhed samtidig med at den føles sprød. Kulsyreindholdet lige under medium. Ønsker man en mere humlet belgier, end de mere almindelige Dark Strong Ales, som af nogle bedømmes for søde, er denne Magma et godt bud på et alternativ. Must have more!

Blairgus (2418) - California, USA - APR 15, 2014
15 apr 2014, tap. Orange/Metamucil, a bit hazy. Nose is peaches. Med body and mildly fizzy. Really is peaches and tropical fruit. There's a mild lemon citrus hop maybe I. The finish. Mildly sweet. Alcohol comes out in sweetness not in alcohol. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tsekouratos (116) - Nea Filadelfeia, Athens, GREECE - APR 19, 2014
330 ml bottle. Orange copper, slightly hazy color, with an offwhite, somewhat yellow foam. Aromas of tangerine and citrus with some yeast. Taste pretty much the same. Big tangerine and orange notes, like tasting a dish-soap. Some more sweet fruits and bread, probably by the yeast. Dry and slightly sweet aftertaste. Light to medium body with low carbonation.
