Troubadour Magma is an amber colored beer with the bitterness of an American IPA but balanced with the fruitiness of a Belgian Triple. Enjoy the explosion of fruity aromas from the dry-hopping. -- A Triple IPA wich Czech bittering hops and Simcoe for Dry-hopping. Made by De Proef for Drie Musketeers, Ursel.

Bottle. Light orange body, tall head. Aroma has sweet strawberries and some overripe oranges. Messy fruity taste with a limp rotten orange peel zest and some sweet malt. Finish has some cough syrup. After the excellent Obscura it’s a real letdown. Triple IPA? In terms of bitterness, even Double IPA is a stretch for this. However, the semi-rotten tastes distract the alcohol relatively well so if you’re into that sort of things I say go for it!

Robe ambrée. Beau nez de houblon frais, note pétrolée, touche fumée et gingembre. Bouche superbe d’équilibre entre l’ampleur d’une triple et la tension d’une IPA, bel équilibre en finale.

It doesnt have the mouthfeel or maltiness that is typical of a double IPA nor the hop aroma. Due to this, it is decidely easier to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Cloudy amber with large head, good retention. Typical IPA aroma of citruses and hops, some pine needle. Taste mote bitter-sweet than the aroma would suggest: appricots, grapefruits. Finish mainly bitter. Medium body, the high ABV doesn't show too strongly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cardboard. It has been stored at room temperature too long. Some citrus still comes through, I think a little aging will do it some good, but this one may be a goner. Some honey comes out in the taste.

Very nice Triple IPA with the most remarkable aroma of fruity hops, caramel and chocolate. I’m getting more and more impressed by the Troubadour-beers.

Tap at Ashley’s. Burnt amber pour with a big rocky head that fades very slowly and leaves great webbing. Aromas are peaches, butterscotch, mild cheese, banana, light pine, and flowers. Taste brings a bunch of peaches. Moderately bitter. Some butterscotch and fruity esters. Medium body. Somewhat foamy carb gives a bigger mouthfeel. Fairly unique and pretty enjoyable.

Bottle from Hippo Beers. Hazy golden body with lots of yeast flecks floating around. Thin white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of rhubarb, toffee and grass. Flavour of zesty orange, nuts and a finish of spice and yeast. Medium body with an oily texture. Llively fizz. Rough around the edges.
