Bottle, enjoyed @Oud Arsenaal, Antwerpen. Golden-orange to amber colored. Brief white head. Nice fruity US-style hop nose. Caramel malts to back up. Flavorfull with good malt body. Caramel and toffee, without being too sweet. Subtle fruitiness. Nice grassy and mildly spiced bitterness. More than medium full. Balanced malty and hop bitter ending. Good stuff.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap @ Poatersgat, 25 cl. Dark orange-golden coloured beer with big white head. Aroma of malts, fruits, citrus and spices, light sweet. Taste starts malty but soon a hoppy taste takes over with a fruity background. Strong spices and citrus give a grassy taste to the beer. The finish is dry and bitter. Excellent beer!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 33 cl. Dark golden to ambre with a huge and very fizzy off-white head of good length. also hazy with floating particles. Scent will be released, but most of weak malt and citrus sensation. The beer opens at first sip, Mal, citrus, and alcohol are more pronounced. The flavor feels light sweet and moderate bitterness. The wonderful rich and creamy mouthfeel, with a moderately bitter end.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This has a relatively subdued aroma, dry hops and earthy. The appearance is amber/orange and very cloudy. The flavor has the expected thick, syrup-like kick to it, while the hops seem to be mild in their impact because this has the requisite citrus, grapefruit and pine flavors to it but not as intense as other DIPAs. Good but a little lacking compared to the best in this style.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The beer pours a golden color, almost a bright orange with a huge tight off white head and lots of lace. The aroma is very fruity with some mild caramel and some floral hoppiness. The aroma of fresh oranges lingers in the background and is particularly enjoyable. The flavor has some of that nice orange marmalade character I get from lots of barley wines. Digging deeper the beer is bitter, bitter in that great tongue bruising way that I love about West Coast IPAs. The beer has a good deal of sweetness which is pretty distracting when you’ve got all this fruity hop and yeast character, the sweetness tends to mute these pleasantries as opposed to accentuating them, which is a shame. The hop character is pretty layered in this beer with the tropical fruit, the citrus, and the herbal flavors are all pretty well balanced to make a hoppiness that takes this deeper than the ol’ "west coast hops with Belgian yeast" thing that while done well so many times is very much played out. There are hops one would find in Franco-Belgian style beers used here, or at least I taste something that is akin to that sort of hop, which makes this beer all the better, and all the more unique.
I question to some degree the freshness of the bottle I sampled this from, perhaps I ought to try it again, I doubt it will be any less sweet the next go around though.
