Troubadour Magma is an amber colored beer with the bitterness of an American IPA but balanced with the fruitiness of a Belgian Triple. Enjoy the explosion of fruity aromas from the dry-hopping. -- A Triple IPA wich Czech bittering hops and Simcoe for Dry-hopping. Made by De Proef for Drie Musketeers, Ursel.

Interesting beer. It has the Belgian sweetness and a lot of hops. Nice balance to it. Aroma starts with the sweetness along with the bitterness. Flavor starts sweet with some fruit and the Belgian notes. The Simcoe pops in for a bitter refreshing finish.

Tasty, very hoppy DIPA. Very easy to drink. Could perhaps do with a bit more bitterness on the finish though.

This Belgian is world class IMO. I have not had a bad beer yet from Troubadour. The aroma is of citrus notes, floral, spicy, clean. Pours a nice orange hue with a large frothy head that stays in the glass to the end, with nice lacing. The taste hits with citrus and some malt, biscuit, bready, yeasty notes with the signature Belgian spice bite. Wonderful taste overall, warming alcohol in the stomach. Overall a world class Belgian. Enjoy one today!

Pours a fairly clear golden/lt amber with a medium white head. Aroma has lt hoppiness and spice...notable fruity belgian notes. Flavor has some dry earthy hop notes and hints of saison like spice...notable yeasty fruitiness. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is dry, and bitter...slightly fruity.

Poured into a snifter. 4.0 A: Opaque orange brown color. Two and a half finges of pillowy white head. Retention is very good and moderate amounts of irregular lacing is left behind. 5.0 S: Smells absolutely wonderful. Very sugary and fruity. Candied pineapple, candied mango, candied orange, candied papaya. Lemongrass, flowers, hay, clove and pepper spice. Even the slightest tinge of grassy funkiness. Easily on par with the best of the US. 4.0 T: Taste is very good as well, but fails to live up to the masterful nose. The taste is Belgian to the core. Peppery yeast spiciness with clove undertones. Hay, peach fruitiness, bready yeastiness. The fruits of the nose are here, but orders of magnitude less potent. Barely any bitterness initially, but some does manifest in the finish. Woody funkiness. Booze is well hidden. 4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good spritzy carbonation. Good creaminess. Nice. 4.0 D: Surprisingly a very good beer. Incredible nose and solid everywhere else.
