draft @ Moeder Lambic, Fontainas.

Into a snifter it pours medium amber, hazy, and heady with a teaspoon of sediment floating about. The aroma has a nice butterscotch sweetness to its malts with a pleasing hop punch and a touch of fruit in the mix. The pillowy head tickles my nose as I taste it and then I get a sharp bitterness, off-dry ending, and an overall medium range texture. To be savored.

Cloudy but bright orange colour. Aroma is peaches and citrus. Flavour is sweet and fruity at first especially with peach, passion fruit and orange. Big hop finish which is dry and bitter. A bit too bitter in the finish. Misses a smooth texture. Otherwise excellent.

330 mL bottle. Pours a hazed orange gold with an off-white head. Aroma has caramel and citrus, berry, cotton candy. Caramel flavor, candied berry, citrusy and floral hop hints, backed up with some bitterness. I suspect the hops would be stronger with a fresher bottle, but the candied flavors keep this quite nice, really.

(bottled) : in a De Dolle goblet . Easy to drink for the booze and considering its rather rich and sticky . A bit like an American IPA that’s unfresh ....some notes of waxy spicy hops ....fResH im gambling a point or 3 more....

From tab. Average light bubbly white head that mostly lasted. Light cloudy amber color. Aroma of yeast, caramel, hint of fruit and what appeared as citrus like notes. Also some hoppy notes in there as well. Light to medium bodied with an average carbonation. Light to moderated sweet flavor with some bitterness in there. Light fresh mild bitter finish with the underling sweetness in there somewhere.

Nose of citrus hops, yeast and fruity notes.Sweet flavor with grapefruit, orange peel, tangerine, coriander and caramel. Medium bodied, creamy to oily texture and soft carbonation. More dry and nice bitter finish. An OK and rather different IPA.

Definitely the best of the Troubadour beers. This is the "tripple" version of the Troubadour beers and for me one of the best Belgian tripples available. Strong after taste, thanks to the amount of hop!

Bottle courtesy bu11zeye. Pours a clear copper orange color with a white type head. Aroma is bready, sweet sugar, some clay notes. Flavor is sweet, sharp fruit and leaves a big tingle. Finishes a mix of dry sweetness and some tingling alcohol.
