Troubadour Magma is an amber colored beer with the bitterness of an American IPA but balanced with the fruitiness of a Belgian Triple. Enjoy the explosion of fruity aromas from the dry-hopping. -- A Triple IPA wich Czech bittering hops and Simcoe for Dry-hopping. Made by De Proef for Drie Musketeers, Ursel.

From bottle. Pours a glowing amber with decent white head. Great aroma, lots of hops, orange flavours, mandarin, quite resinous. Taste again has lots of resinous hops and light fruity notes, orange again and a little mango. Fairly bitter finish. Delicious. Perhaps a bit rough around the edges compared to it’s American counterparts, but I like that.

The aroma is sweet with notes of fruit, yeast, raisins, malt, alcohol and lots of hops. The taste is the same. The alcohol is evident in the taste but not too intrusive, it is experienced mostly as warming. A nice beer to sip on slowly!

Bottle from Beermercants.com. Pours hazy deep golden with a huge creamy white head. Aroma of strong citrussy and spicy hops, also some caramel malts. Taste is dry and herbal, citrussy hops, strong and heavy carbonated, clean dry mouthfeel. Lingering bitter and fruity, dry end.

Interesting beer. It has the Belgian sweetness and a lot of hops. Nice balance to it. Aroma starts with the sweetness along with the bitterness. Flavor starts sweet with some fruit and the Belgian notes. The Simcoe pops in for a bitter refreshing finish.
