Troubadour Magma is an amber colored beer with the bitterness of an American IPA but balanced with the fruitiness of a Belgian Triple. Enjoy the explosion of fruity aromas from the dry-hopping. -- A Triple IPA wich Czech bittering hops and Simcoe for Dry-hopping. Made by De Proef for Drie Musketeers, Ursel.

33cl bottle @ Wiering, Leuven Sourish ripe fruits, peche, detergent. Orange, peche colour with a lasting head. Cloudy. Not my favorite taste. Odd taste, different things fighting.

Bottle 0,75L. Hazy, orange-copper colour, with for the IPA quite big, off-white head, that lasts long. Nice aroma of tropical fruits like passion fruit, grapefruit, mango, ananas, some pine and honey. Full bodied, some fuit sweetness at the start, that turns into a grapefruit bitternesss aftertaste. I expected more bitterness, having in minds that it is triple IPA. Anyway, great beer.

Draught at Blackdoor in Helsinki. Cloudy amber with a frothy off-white head. Sweet tropical fruitiness with some pine in aroma first. Sweet maltyness in taste with some bitterness as well. Some fruityness in taste, yeasty notes too. Leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Nice and round grassy hoppy and bitter aftertaste. Easy to drink and no sign of the alcohol. Overall quite tasty and the dipa sweetness fortunately not too overwhelming

Enjoyed on tap at Cafe Hollander in Wauwatosa, WI after a good day recording and watching the movie Beyond the Black Rainbow. Appearance is a moderate tanned gold with an abundant, billowy white head. Aroma of spices, more of a caramel malt, with a small hop presence in my opinion, didn’t get too much citrus. Taste was interesting, I haven’t had many Belgian IPAs, and didn’t think it was advertently hoppy, but it was happier than most Belgian ales for sure. Definite herbal/spice presence, more like a hoppy tea or something of that nature. I did enjoy it, but probably won’t have this again.

The head is ok, the body brown and cloudy. It smells hoppy-flowery, creamy. The taste is creamy, hoppy, hoppy-flowery, a bit alcoholic-malty. Overall nice. 11/11/11/11/12/11
