Troubadour Magma is an amber colored beer with the bitterness of an American IPA but balanced with the fruitiness of a Belgian Triple. Enjoy the explosion of fruity aromas from the dry-hopping. -- A Triple IPA wich Czech bittering hops and Simcoe for Dry-hopping. Made by De Proef for Drie Musketeers, Ursel.

Clear (if you leave the yeast in the bottle) straw color, dense white head. Sweet flowery perfume aroma with some tart candy notes. Lively carbonation, complex interaction between the sweet malt, hop flavors and belgian yeast character. Nice dry, bitter and a little sour on the finish. Candy. Bright, clean. A wonderful belgian interpretation of a dipa, deftly done.

Cuerpo potente. Excelente. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Moeder St-Gilles. Troubadour Magma 9% is a deep clear still gold with a rich fruity full malt character. It’s got a sweet and hoppy aroma. A bit boozy, sweetly malty, with notes of alcohol heat, pine & candied citrus. A nice double IPA .

Sampled a pint on draft then bought it in a growler. I am partial to a Tripel and my wife is partial to very hoppy bears. I think this covers a either a "like it a lot" from both the IPA and Tripel tasters, or it simply won’t. I would not refer to this as an Imperial IPA as it will disappoint people specifically looking for that profile. I do think it represents a Belgium Triple IPA, implying more of the sweeter Triple than a heavily hopped beer.

Bottle at Monks Cafe Wallingatan. A bit hazy dark golden with a medium head. Sweet with hops, grapefruit, light pineapple, some hay, malt and light yeast. The body was almost full and the bitterness medium.

A bit sour and fruity in the aroma. Fine foam and beautiful color. Light sweetness and medium bitterness. Lively carbonation and long finish, though it isn’t that good.

Amber-colored beer, topped off with a white head. Great hoppy aroma, some floral accents and hints of tropical fruits. Taste is perfectly balanced. The grapefruit bitterness of the hops are perfectly matched by the mild caramel sweetness in the aftertaste. Delicious beer.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Cloudy dark amber with a little orange color, frothy ivory head, fluffy waves of lace. Aroma of butterscotch and malt. Taste is full-bodied caramel malt with dried fruit and light yeast. Mild bittering enters on the swallow, but not enough to push the malt aside. A really well-balanced, full-bodied Imperial Belgian (maybe IPA). Recommended.
