3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jefcon (1213) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JAN 22, 2013This is how I like my dubbels: rich and warm, drying on the finish, yeasty aromas and floral notes, with a bit of citrus on the finish. Really good, and worth the nine percent alcohol for the way it moves the palate from point to point: yeast, hops, malts, alcohol, leaving you with a hint of hops on the finish.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 dnicolaescu (155) - Chișinău, MOLDOVA - JUN 19, 2013
Head: off-white, big, creamy, good retention. Colour: amber, cloudy.
Aroma: intense citrus, caramel, pine and resin. Taste: spicy bitterness upfront, fruity, caramel, more bitterness and slight astringency in the finish. A long bitter aftertaste.
Great intense piny aroma and strong taste. Expected something Belgian in it, but found no phenols or such.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 DocJitsu (334) - California, USA - JUN 10, 2013
Pours a hazy orange golden color with a huge, fluffy eggshell head with an orange hue. Aromas of cream, lemon, and orange with a touch spice. Slick, full moutfheel. Sweet gives way to bitter for a nicely balanced taste. Citrus esters and sweet squash flavors. Very good tripel.
3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 glennmastrange (1907) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JUN 6, 2013
Bottle. Moderate to heavy malt and hops aromas of light colored caramel, perfume and orange, moderate dough for the yeast, with date, sugar and blackberry in the background. Head is large, frothy, yellowish off-white, with good lacing and good legs and is mostly lasting. Color is hazy dark amber. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then the extra long finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, and heavily to harshly bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily with a lively carbonation and has a moderately to heavily alcoholic finish. Great smell but confused flavor, this Imperial IPA is packed with big punch in the finish.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 ErnieBall (2) - SWEDEN - JUN 1, 2013 does not count
A beautiful colored beer with the bitterness of an IPA but balanced with great fruitiness. One of my personal fauvorites among all beers! A very refreshing taste for a Belgian Triple thanks to it´s fruitiness.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 fkoolen (16) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - MAY 31, 2013
UPDATED: JUN 11, 2013 Great Belgian interpretation of the IPA. Fruity and complexity fight beautifully against the not too bitter hops. Beautifully coloured.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BlackHaddock (2435) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 31, 2013
33cl bottle: slightly out of date when poured into a Duvel glass at home on 30 May 2013 during a random beer tasting evening.
Poured slowly, so no sediment left the bottle: the beer looked good, orange too deep amber in colour, clear and clean, on top a full white crown.
Smells sweeter than it tastes: mildly caramel and fruity in the nose. Hop bitterness with spice notes appear in the mouth and the beer is quiet balanced once you get into it.
The alcohol is evident as is the Belgian yeast, all in all a very pleasant beer from start to finish.
4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 maus (10) - Tartu, ESTONIA - MAY 28, 2013
Pours a dark amber with orangy tones, a beautiful colour. Thick and sturdy head.
Aroma is of citrus, bit of resin and earthiness, touch of malt and belgian yeast. Very enjoyable bitterness and a bit of honeylike sweetness in the background. Usually I don’t prefer malty IPAs but this one is superb. Most of the hops seem to be of european origin, no distinguishable modern fruits. Nice, full palate, slightly thick.
Aftertaste is a tad sweet, but leaves a nice bitterness to mix it up.
Overall, a sublime IPA that stands on its own. Too bad I only had one bottle..
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 thanatosti (605) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 24, 2013
33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Hazy amber with a white head. Peachy hop aroma with some sweet orange. Taste is medium bitter with some alcohol warmth. Long bitter ending in sweet aftertaste. Nice one
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 antonstoop (10) - - MAY 23, 2013
This beer has a nice hoppy smell, must be amerrilo. Taste is not as nice as the smell would sugest. A bit flat in my opinion, just very hoppy, good but not as good as the smell.
