Lite väl kanske mycket av just skumbananen. Svag syrlighet framkommer i eftersmaken liksom också mjölkchoklad? Jo det är sant. Betyg då ?? Mycket annorlunda Dipa dock inte i min stil.

Interesting; nose suggests mild orange-y caramel-y malts. Taste has slightly herbal touch, similar to Troubadour Blond (sampled alongside), but boozily robust as big Belgian Tripels like many in the Van Steenberge brewery’s range. If you were a hophead, you might find it under-hopped; I don’t. Part US IPA, part slightly herbal Belgian Tripel: probably a better bridge from Belgium to USA than Jean-Claude Van Damme? (Apologies, J-C.)

33cl bottle, served in snifter glass. Poured a hazy amber with a two finger creamy ivory head. Aromas of freshly cut grass, grapefruit, flowers, citrus. Taste: a continuation of the aroma with caramel, spices, mango, grapefruit, apricots, peach, bread with jam, pineapple, orange. Medium body with a nice bittersweet fruity finish. Overall a deliciously tasting brew. Part IPA, part Tripel. Love it!

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2016 Hoppy and fruity, half body, light amber color, complex mixture of abbey beer an IPA, long lasting developing flavour, starting with malt and having some bitterness at the end. Very well designed beer.

Bottle at Trollekelder, Gent, march 13th 2015. Orange body with a lasting white head. Aroma of prapefruit, malt, banana. Sweet vanilla and caramel taste with a hoppy fruit note of grapefruit and peach, medium bitterness, with an aftertaste of fruit and prunes.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from the merchants of beer. Pours lightly hazed, rich orange-gold with a large, creamy off-white head. Robust dried citrus fruits in the nose, some pine, floral hops, suggestions of alcohol, pale bread. Medium sweet flavour with sturdy alcohol boost, mellow piney bitterness, dry pale bread, orange rind, tangerine. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Warming on the finish, lightly resinous, with ripe citrus fruits, notable booze, bready pale malts, restrained sugars, minimal yeast expression. A bit of a beast, but enjoyable nonetheless.

coppery color slightly orange. Rich, creamy beige foam with fine carbonation. Aroma entering a sweet torrent of Belgian malt, caramel and honey penetrating, wrapped in powerful notes of peaches in syrup, with a mild acid point orange and tropical fruits in the background. Also reinforces the intense fruitiness hops, marking floral character and a delicate blend of milk something spicy notes of yeast and spice. On the palate burst malt and caramel base, where intense memories of mango, honey, orange flowers and light develop. Citrus, entering furtively appear as the drink progresses preparing an intense bitter finish loaded with grass and spicy among which coriander and cloves and softer orange peel, pineapple and yeast spices. The initial sweetness, very attenuated by the hops provides support for alcohol, shown openly in the stomach after a discreet palate. consistent body of silky texture that combines the fruitiness of Belgian ale with the strength of American hops.
