Troubadour Magma is an amber colored beer with the bitterness of an American IPA but balanced with the fruitiness of a Belgian Triple. Enjoy the explosion of fruity aromas from the dry-hopping. -- A Triple IPA wich Czech bittering hops and Simcoe for Dry-hopping. Made by De Proef for Drie Musketeers, Ursel.

Bright orange with two fingers of creamy, lacy head that sticks all over the glass. Very carbonated and bubbly like you’d expect from a Belgian. Really strong nose, orange, fresh baked bread, caramel, alcohol, and underlying floral and earthy notes; very complex. Taste starts off quite sweet with light fruit (ie mango, orange), toasted malts and finishes mildly bitter with an herbal hop. Really light on the palate, especially for a double IPA. A good, but not great beer. I’d still prefer Houblon for a Belgian IPA.

Cardboard. It has been stored at room temperature too long. Some citrus still comes through, I think a little aging will do it some good, but this one may be a goner. Some honey comes out in the taste.

Very nice Triple IPA with the most remarkable aroma of fruity hops, caramel and chocolate. I’m getting more and more impressed by the Troubadour-beers.

Tap at Ashley’s. Burnt amber pour with a big rocky head that fades very slowly and leaves great webbing. Aromas are peaches, butterscotch, mild cheese, banana, light pine, and flowers. Taste brings a bunch of peaches. Moderately bitter. Some butterscotch and fruity esters. Medium body. Somewhat foamy carb gives a bigger mouthfeel. Fairly unique and pretty enjoyable.

Bottle from Hippo Beers. Hazy golden body with lots of yeast flecks floating around. Thin white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of rhubarb, toffee and grass. Flavour of zesty orange, nuts and a finish of spice and yeast. Medium body with an oily texture. Llively fizz. Rough around the edges.

Dark orange color with nice white head. Aroma is very hoppy, sweet peaches, still spicy yeasts. Taste is sweet hops, good residual sweetness and still very Belgian. Low carbonation. Amazing!

Hazy orange coloured beer with a small but stable white head. Aroma of citrus and spices. Sweet and malty flavour, again with a strong presence of citrus and spices

Botella.

Pour into a teku showing dark brown to copper red with a finger of long-lasting clean white foam. The nose shows a good intensity of pine and spruce hops. The palate is aggressively carbonated and medium bodied. There’s immediately a noticeable spiciness probably from the alcohol. A strong malt breadiness appears afterward followed by a slight malty sweetness. Sharp IPA bitterness at the end. Overall, drinks well but the alcohol packs a punch.

Colore ambrato chiaro, schiuma bella, fine. Odore fruttato, luppolosissimo, citrico. Sapore: subito molto luppolo, erbaceo.
