Troubadour Magma is an amber colored beer with the bitterness of an American IPA but balanced with the fruitiness of a Belgian Triple. Enjoy the explosion of fruity aromas from the dry-hopping. -- A Triple IPA wich Czech bittering hops and Simcoe for Dry-hopping. Made by De Proef for Drie Musketeers, Ursel.

Bottle. I was surprised after this beer. Way too many flavors battling for supremacy, with a pretty bad after taste. Not for me.

A medium, foamy slightly off white head. Aroma is slightly fresh hops, some yeast, slight caramel as well. Taste is full bodied and very full. Strong alcoholic feel and a nice slightly sour yet fresh finish.

33cl bottle, served in an official tulip glass at Delirium Cafe, Amsterdam on 07-May-2016. Hazy amber with a thick off-white coloured head. Aroma of sweet malt, grass, citrus fruit and spices.. Medium body and carbonation. Flavour of caramel, bread, spices, and mango Light sweetness and hop profile - not too bitter. Lightly hopped tripel - nice balance.

330 ml bottle. Hazy orange body capped by a creamy and lasting white head. Funk, peaches, lemon, pepper and flowers in the nose. Taste opens up with soft fruit flavours of baked apples and stonefruit before a firm pepper and grapefruit zest bitterness sweeps through. Lingering bitter finish leads into a full fruity aftertaste. Enjoyed this a lot.

Flarra. Gyllene dryck som i färgen påminner om Oppigpård thurbo. Doftar underbart Maltigt , persika, lite svagt av blött gräs. Smakar då? Massor av skumbanan . Lite väl kanske mycket av just skumbananen. Svag syrlighet framkommer i eftersmaken liksom också mjölkchoklad? Jo det är sant. Betyg då ?? Mycket annorlunda Dipa dock inte i min stil.

Interesting; nose suggests mild orange-y caramel-y malts. Taste has slightly herbal touch, similar to Troubadour Blond (sampled alongside), but boozily robust as big Belgian Tripels like many in the Van Steenberge brewery’s range. If you were a hophead, you might find it under-hopped; I don’t. Part US IPA, part slightly herbal Belgian Tripel: probably a better bridge from Belgium to USA than Jean-Claude Van Damme? (Apologies, J-C.)

33cl bottle, served in snifter glass. Poured a hazy amber with a two finger creamy ivory head. Aromas of freshly cut grass, grapefruit, flowers, citrus. Taste: a continuation of the aroma with caramel, spices, mango, grapefruit, apricots, peach, bread with jam, pineapple, orange. Medium body with a nice bittersweet fruity finish. Overall a deliciously tasting brew. Part IPA, part Tripel. Love it!

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2016 Hoppy and fruity, half body, light amber color, complex mixture of abbey beer an IPA, long lasting developing flavour, starting with malt and having some bitterness at the end. Very well designed beer.
