In short: liquory and roasted beer. Aroma is to roasted malt, taste is very sweet and kind of bitter, palate is an incredible mixture between liquor and toffee.

330 ml bottle from beernavigator.com, Netherlands. Dark brown color with a hugw beige head. Aroma is sweet, with burnt caramel and spices. Taste is like chewing bread and marmelade, with some caramel in it and a bitterness wich is completely out of place. Medium body with high carbonation.

"from belgium, but labeled as a mild stout. reminds me in many ways of lion stout, with it’s layers of malt, and complexity within an easy drinking package (and high [8.2]). little hops, lots of chocolate, sweet & spicy malts. not as good as Lion, but nice."

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2014 Tejszínes krémhab, presszókávés, diós illatok, selymes állagú, csordultig telt test. Egy belga strong ale, dubbel és imperial stout határán bravúrosan egyensúlyozó főzet azok rumos diós, mazsolás, étcsokoládés hangulataival. Gazdagsága valósággal gyönyörködtető.

Bottle from notes. Pours a dark brown color with a large, fluffy ivory colored head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, caramel, cocoa powder, light roast, a slight woody character, thin body for the flavors and a light earthy bitterness to the finish.

Pours dark with a nice, big creamy dark head which leaves a nice thick film. Good lacing. Aroma of roasty caramel and a little clove. Oily texture, medium body, good carbonation. Taste is a little roasty, with moderate sweetness.

Bottle. Poured into trappist glass, dark brown color with tall, creamy and lasting head. Good lacing. Aroma of coffe and roasted malts with chocolate and burnt sugar notes. Taste is mostly the same with pleasant, warming alcohol and creamy mouthfeel. I bought this beer haphazardly and I’m surprisingly satisfied. Reminds me more Imperial Stout rather than Belgian Ale but it’s really good.

Yeasty spicy. Alcoholic bready taste. Heavy mouthfeel maybe due to my reflux problems.

Dark brown, hazy colour and big beige head. Aroma and taste have light chocolate, coffee, red fruit, vanilla, gingerbread, hoppy bitterness and some irony off-tones. Dry chocolate aftertaste. Lively carbonation, good body, prickling mouthfeel.
