Bottle: Nose is quite like a Christmas beer, cloves, almond, spice a little oak and lots of Belgian yeast. Taste is roast leading to Belgian yeast, a little white chocolate, berry, almond and a soft dry finish. It’s a very nice beer but a bit short in the finish with the dry note not quite right for me.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig, röstig, dunkles reifes Obst. Geschmack röstmalzig, stark malzig, überreife Früchte, Karamell.

hay, cereal, roasty, nuts, from the most ridiculous frothy head ive ever seen on a beer (i dont like froth) body is dark browny red. light sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sourness, bit of a multistage beer, as soon as it hits your tongue its sweet then bitter then on the way is a sourness leading to a salty aftertaste. I dont think its all that great to be honest.

Poors an opaque black/brown with an ample brown/white head that lingers. Smells of roasted malt with sweet cereal tones, alcohol, chocolate and cinammon. Sweet malt beginning, with a growing sweetness in the middle. Long, bitter finish from the roasted malt. Relatively mild carbonation, and a slick mouthfeel (not a thick stout). Overall, a really decent stout (something I’ve missed while living in the Netherlands). A really nice example of the flavor profile of a stout, although lacking a bit in mouthfeel.
