Pours out of the bottle in a deep dark brown colour with smooth head and smooth body. Nice aroma of barley and cake. Taste of roasted barley, woods, chocolate, malt, cookies and ripe dark berries. Malty-chocolate finish. Easy and smooth to drink, highly enjoyable.

Bottle from Bert’s Bierhuis in Utrecht. The beer is dark ruby red and has a large cream colored head, CO2 is excellent. In the aroma different tones of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. The taste is very malty, which reminds of a stout beer. Also has te beer a mild bitterness. In the finish this mild bitterness is well noticable for a long time. Excellent brew.

Bottle at home, 330 ml. Poured into a tulip glass. ABV 8..2% Pours a lovely looking deep mahogany brown coloured beer, with ruby shades when the light passes through it. Two fingers of thick beige head, with very good retention, leaving medium lacing around the glass. Aroma has lots of prunes, raisins, liquorice, some metal. Taste of roasted malts, dark fruits, mostly prunes, coffee, raisins, little bit of caramel, the alcohol very well hidden. Fantastic taste, tastes more like a fruity imperial stout. Nice bitterness on the aftertaste, mild, coming from roasted malts. Medium thick on the body, good carbonation, nice feeling on the palate, dry but also a bit sticky. Very good beer, another good one from this brewery.

Pours a dirty water brown, opaque, with a thick tan head. Aroma is prunes and alcohol. Taste is straight up rot gut alcohol and prunes. Apparently I’m not a fan of Belgian Strong Ales. Just not my thing. A lot of raisin in this beer. Not good.

Farlig god. 0,33 flaske, en god stridsrasjon.

ok dark ale. Looks great in the glass with a beige creamy head. Flavor is of burned malts, dark fruit and syrup but a bit weak. Aftertaste is of nice bitter hops. It is good but not very interesting.
