33 cl. bottle @ heom, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Dark brown with a big beige head. Aroma of roasted malts with dark fruits (plums and raisins). Nice hop pressence. Spicy taste with some anis tones. Great stoutlike Belgian strong ale.

Appearance: dark brown beer, soapy light brown foam. GUSHER.
Nose: caramel, chocolate, burned malts, some sour cherries, cookie flavor, rather sweet in general.
Taste: very strong aftertaste, lots of chocolate, bitter, but also some alcohol warming. Flavor starts of rather soft and fruity. Lots of chocolate in total.
I like the nose of this beer, the taste is nice, but you get tired of it after a few sips.

Sampled this beer from the bottle. Upon pouring I instantly noticed it's ruby brown color with a generous rich brown foam head. The aroma displayed characteristics of rich chocolate and some dried fruit undertones. It had a sweet chocolate flavor with a mild presence on the tongue. It finished with some enjoyable sourness. This is a very tasty treat that I recommend trying.

Aroma has ripe fruits, rye bread, raisins and brown sugar. Flavour is sweet with lots of grain, sugary notes, raisins and hints of rye. Rich and sticky palate. A feeling of alcohol in the finish. Nice, althought gets too sweet towards the end of the glass.

Brown sugar and plum on the nose, a little malt, chocolate, rather sweet, perhaps too sweet. Somewhat cloudy with a nice dark brown colour and light head. Doesn’t taste as strong as it is.

Looks and smells like a stout. It has a mouth feel and taste of a cream stout. Dont think i would have this as a consistent beer

Pours a thick, creamy, well retained light beige head, with heavy lacing, over a hazy, dark amber (SRM 15) body.....nose is dried fruits including plum, raisin, light allspice, hints of cocoa....taste is slightly sweet with plum, raisin dominating, leading to a light spice astringent bitterness, with lingering hop tones, .....mouth feel medium to heavy, slightly sticky, carbonation low but adds light acid tingle. This falls within the broad style of Belgian Strong Ale, but does not have the depth of aroma and flavor found in many. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7

Tap at Black Door, Helsinki. Colour is reddish brown with large thick white head. Aromas and flavours: Dark fruits, raisins, Belgian yeast, spices and malts.

Igen szép, vörösesbarna színe van, ami belül gomolyog, mozog változik. Habja gigantikus, világosbarna, olyan állaga van, mint a jól felvert tojásfehérjének és kitartóbb, mint egy triatlonista. Illata aszalt gyümölcsös, belga élesztős, kakaóporos, fűszeres, likőrös, fügés. Íze is ilyen összetett, kiegészítve égetett fával, malátával, fekete csokival és komlóval. Elég sűrű, testes és mérsékelten van apró buborékokkal töltve. Utóíze keserédes, gyümölcsös, enyhén száraz. Remek belga ale ez, ráadásul igen kiegyensúlyozott és nem túl édes. Jó anyag!
