Really really great beer. Foam is delightful, light brown. Smell has hints of coffee, chocolate, roasted nuts and toasted bread. Taste is round, fulfilling and strong - just the way I like it. Highly recommended as a beer for some nice red meat!

Black color with some brown glow, huge tan head. Caramel, brown sugar and malty aroma. Heavy sweetness. Noticeable presence of alcohol. Full body, soft carbonation. Not bad.

Bottled. Pours clear deep amber with a large, tan head. Aroma of slightly toasted malt, caramel, chocolate, hoppy notes and dried fruit. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry with bitter notes. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Belgian Strong.

Lovely dark beer with a smooth after taste. Very subtle for such a strong beer. Very dark in glass

Ik vond het (zoals de meeste troubadour-bieren) niet echt lekker. Ze hebben een speciale smaak

Pours a murky dark brown colour with a nice tanned foamy head, little carbonation. Chocolate and coffee aroma, strong notes of roasted malts there too. Dry, smokey taste, nicely balanced coffee and malt notes. Goes down silky smooth, beautifully full bodied texture.

Zomgwtfbbq, this beer is dark and sweet. Supposed to taste like chocolate, but that is not really what I taste in it.
