Bottle: Nose is quite like a Christmas beer, cloves, almond, spice a little oak and lots of Belgian yeast. Taste is roast leading to Belgian yeast, a little white chocolate, berry, almond and a soft dry finish. It’s a very nice beer but a bit short in the finish with the dry note not quite right for me.

Copper color, beautiful ruby reflections. Big beige head. Aroma is very sweet, pleasant, malty, caramel. On the back ground some bready and raisins notes. Taste - caramel, bread, roasted malts. Sweet in overall. Pleasant, creamy mouth feel, definately not a session beer. Aftertaste develops some iron taste but strangely skin test didn’t show anything. Rather good, high quality beer.

0.33 bottle.
Hazy, very dark brown color and a humongous, thick, tanned head leaving some lacing. Aroma of dark malts, sugar, fruity syrup, dark fruits, some roast, delicate wood, and a bit of fig liquor. Taste is almost as complex, roast, wood, and syrups take the prime but other elements still remain in the mix adding slight gimmicks. A medium body, a somewhat creamy texture, and a soft carbonation. Finish swerves between fruity and malty flavors as it progresses, a pleasantly varied mix. Overall the beer is splendid; its alcohol content could be better hidden in an ideal scenario but it does not offend and its warmth can be enjoyable. The only real blemishes are its delicately watery character towards the end and a complexity also diminishing with time.

Geur valt me tegen. De dronk is lekker. Mooie balans van krachtig en fris. Fijn bier.

A very nice one, I thought it was surprisingly light in mouth with a tasty head. You’d recognize directly the belgian origin, a tradermark that can’t trick you in any way, with a very specific taste but beside that, i’d recognize this one more than some others, which is a good point. Donkerbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en zoet, karamel, iets van geroosterde koffie en toffee. Bier is erg actief, bij openen komt het spontaan naar boven.
