different label. BB 02/09. Pours dark brown with a red hew fine lasting head. Aroma is sweet of dark fruits - Rasin & plum. In the taste there is notes from roasted malts - coffee & caramel. Slight bitter roast. Good lacings. Smooth mouthfeel. Soft palate. Very nice!

Bottle at Paters Vaetje, Antwerp. Very dark brown/cloudy with thick beige head. Dry malt aroma with choc and camp coffee. Some raisin. Nice choc and fruit in mouth with grainy dry finish. Bit of vinous in mouth. Really excellent beer, wonderful in mouth, just needs a bit more complexity.

Bottle. Roasted, malty aroma. Very dark brown colour, semi-dodgy looking head. Malty, slightly peppery flavour. Hint of fruit and yeast. Burnt malt notes.

Bottle. It’s a clear, brown beer topped by a dense, beige head. Brown sugar, some tea and roasted malts on the nose. The flavor is of the sweet kind, with roasted malts, brown sugar and some tea. Medium to full body, quite sweet. A decent beer indeed, but nothing extraordinary. Sort of mixes with the crowd. 091127

Draught at "Den Tatoverede Enke". Very dark, almost black - light brown head. High malty, coffee, red berries, light sweetness, nice body, dark bread, nice hopped. A bit like fresh baked dark raisin-bread and a cop of coffee.

Very dark brown colour. Light roasty, chocolatey character. Light body for size. A bit of soy sauce note to the fairly intense malt profile. No particular roast. Decent. A revisit is in order, though.

Bottled 75 cl (Bs, ABV. 8.2%).
Dark brown, almost opaque, nice creamy beige head, lace. Aroma of molasses, vanilla, coffee and oak. almost like a whisky barrel-aged beer ... oak chips added? Quite light and mild palate for over 8% beer. Flavor has coffee, sweet molasses, toasted malts. Simple flavor which is a bit similar to some foreign extra stouts.

On draught. Deep ruby with scant brown head. Aroma of chocolate-flavored coffee. Taste of roasted malt and almonds, toffee late. Roasted chestnut finish, quite long-lasting. Good one, should age quite well.
