Vac (2184), San Diego, California, USA Apr 21, 2008 Pours with a dark brown body topped by a medium thick, tan head with some lacing. IT’s sweet and malty with hints of chocolate and a little caramel. Medium to full bodied and smooth.
jason (1473), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 23, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark brown body with nice head. Aroma is light chocolate malt, toffee. Toffee flavor, light chocolate and sweet malty body. Smooth. plovmand (420), Helsinge, Denmark Jul 21, 2008 Bottle at Oud Arsenaal, Antwerp. Pours reddish brown with a medium beige head. Prunes and other dark fruits adds a sugary thing to the malt base in the aroma and flavour. Some chocolate there as well. Beer_Hawk (628), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Jul 16, 2008 Bottle (Best by 09/02/09). Poured a reddish brown with a creamy tan head that left good lacing. The aroma is sweet with a dark fruit and malt balance. The flavor adds to the sweet fruitiness with some spices and roast backed with light alcohol. Medium body with a sweet yet roasty aftertaste. JK (2356), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Jul 15, 2008 An interesting hybrid. Kind of an English malt character but with Belgian yeast. Roasted malt and nuts. Big frothy head and black in color. A nice beer, but shouldn’t it be an imperial at this abv? RomanW70 (280), Providence, Rhode Island, USA Jul 15, 2008 Had 6/20 at Dulle Griet in Gent. Pors dark ruby caramel with a minimal tan head and beautiful lacing. Roast aroma full of dark fruits and caramel. taste is fairly complex with some vineous notes.
