Bottle: As Troubadour Speciale:
Medium airy rocky white head, changes quick into an open lacing, on top of a hazy orange colred beer.

Taste corn, popcorn, malts, grains, herbs, light lemon, medium bitter.
Green grassy light hoppy bitter aftertaste.
Medium carbo, tingly mouthfeel, more towards a medium body and a watery texture.
A bit of a corny pale lager or pilsner.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: cloudy orange with a bread crust head which fades with lace into a thin collar and unbroken layer of fluff. Swirls creamy with some bubbles and more lace.
Nose: yeasty dough in the back with spice, leather, and dusty bales of hay. Candied ginger and grains of paradise. Papaya and guava skins, banana peel, and essence of candied flower petals.
Palate: medium to medium-light weight – floats across the tongue. Banana underneath and in the back. Dry finish. Grain husks and baled straw with papaya and guava peel. Dry leather on top of the tongue – like a baseball glove. Flower petals and candied ginger in the breath.
Final Thoughts: darn good. Far better than I was expecting, label art notwithstanding. Pleasantly refreshing, I honestly wouldn’t change anything about The Musketeer – phenolic, funky, and fantastic.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Bottled) Clear golden-amber with a smallish head. Slightly metallic-malty nose with herby hops - a bit like De Koninck. Flavor is metallic-caramely malt, some stingy-herby hoppiness. Almost medium body, foamy CO2. Not my type of beer by any means; metallic, stingy, yet boring. 3434

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not a very pleasant smelling beer. The initial taste shows some promise with spices and other little flavor, the aftertaste is slightly bitter and bready.
