Swaroga (1636) - Brussels, BELGIUM - MAY 13, 2012
33cl bottle. It is labeled Spéciale Troubadour. Light amber with low to medium white head. Nose : fruity with wet laundry yeast aromas. Bread with butter. Little flower honey layer. Sip : low to medium density with an enjoyable creamy body. Sweet start, citron cake transition into bitter herbal hops that continue into a bitter burned toast and lemon zest finish. After couple of sips there is this delicate strawberry feeling. Not a bad beer there. I’m enjoying it.

Bottled (had as Troubadour Speciale, 5.7 % abv, thanks tdtm82!). Golden colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruits, and some mild yeast, glue and herbal notes. Flavour is quite standard Belgian blonde ale. Balanced, but not that special.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Slightly hazy amber coloured beer with fine hoppy taste and well bitter finish. Bought it under its alias name "Troubadour Spéciale".

JanLaursen (3227) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 5, 2012
Draught at Ris Ras, Århus. Comes as Troubadour Spéciale. Pours a quite clear copper colored beer with a huge, mostly diminishing off-white head. Aroma has lots of caramel, a little nuts and dry flowery hoppy aroma. Medium body, not that sweet but still lots of caramel in the mouth, flowery hops with a rather bitter, grassy finish. Quite strange in style - like a vienna gone dry ale.

On tap as Troubadour Speciale. The aroma has some caramel malts, fruitiness. Hazy, orange coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is sweet, slightly bitter, malty, bit sugary, has some fruitiness, apples.

humlelala (1080) - DENMARK - APR 20, 2012
(33 cl bottle; BBD: May 2nd 2013) Pours a slightly hazy amber with rich, white head. Good retention and lace. Aroma is dusty with notes of banana and a hint of caramel. Not that refreshingly appealing. Oily texture, light body with an astringent finish. Taste is lightly sour with spicy, peppery notes. A strange brew and not something that strikes me as particularly harmonic.

Ambrata, con abbondate schiuma bianca di discreta persistenza. Aroma di caramello, zenzero e spezie. L’attacco in bocca è dolce, caramellato, fruttato. Carbonatazione media

Bottle @ home as Troubadour Spéciale. Amber coloured with medium carbonation and a large white head. Sweet yeasty and banana fruity light malty hinted aroma. Creamy full palate. Finish is bitter malty with a longer fruity sweet bitter ending. Very nice and enjoyable belgian aile.
