On tap at Oud Arsenaal, as The Musketeers Arsenaaltje. A clear one, golden in color and with a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma has a buttery touch, but is mostly fruity. Some caramel too. It’s carbonated quite hard, medium body. Some caramel, as well as a nice bitterness in the flavor. Grassy and piney. Bitter finish. A decent one, but too much reminiscent of a mediocre lager. 110429

From tap @Oud Arsenaal, Antwerpen as The Musketeers Arsenaaltje. Bright golden, low yellow-blond top. Fruit and caramel on the nose. Taste is crisp malty and fruity, with a refreshing sharpness to it. Fine bitterness underneath. A nice and quenching beverage.

330ml amber bitter beer, as Arsenaaltje, from tap at Oud Arsenaal. Amber coloured body under a declining, hazy white head. Leafy hops to the nose. Taste of leafy hops, fresh oranges and a bite of yeast. Dry bittersweet ending. Pleasant brew (Antwerpen, 29.04.2011).

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2013 draft@ZBF 2011: mostly special because it is probably going to be a one time brew but it might be a new beer them, overall it is a very middling Belgian Pale Ale, tastes of pilsner malt, spices, minor hops, bitter, grass with very little aftertaste, bit dull & only very slightly above average //// Tried this one again on draft, the Spécial one is still the only not special Troubadour, bad joke of sorts.
