Tap at Maxs. Sort of fails at nailing the style. Faded, old, cheapish belgo mouthfeel. Malty and thick, the sort of neglected the hops. Only the oily characteristics link it to a Black IPA. OK, but sub par for a Belgian Ale or a Black IPA.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 23.10.2013, 0,75l bottle sampled @ BBGTC tasting:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet and roasted, dark malts, roasted grain, puffed rice, dark sugar, chocolate, coffee, hay. Taste is sweet and roasted, dark malts, harsh roasted grain, sugar, coffee, burnt caramel, harsh grass. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Boring.

Dark brown pour with a tanned head. Malty aroma with nuts and toffee. Taste is roasty, bitter coffee and a lasting bitter finish. Balances out the somewhat sweet aftertaste.

Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a deep brown body with a creamy off-white head, looking very good. Nose is nuts, dark malts, wet grass, nougat, hints of pine and resin. Taste is resin, pine, chocolate, hints of wet grass. Medium body and carbonation. Very nice.

Boutip (4637) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 17, 2013
Bottle: Poured a deep burgundy color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of dry earthy hops with some dry roasted malt notes. Taste is a mxi between some roasted malt with dry bitter notes with some earth hops with and almost astringent finish. Body is light with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. A bit too much astringency to be truly enjoyable.

Medium tyngde. Virkelig god!

Love the smell of this one, a nice mixture of light, citrusy tones balanced on a heavy, malty, roasted chocolaty base. Dark red, seems pretty clear but hard to tell. Nice lacing, decent foam, quite stable. Moderately bitter taste, really comes though in the aftertaste. Fairly full bodied.
