Bottle. Dark brown, coffee color. Nice large foam head. Very, very fruity aromas, discernible from across the table. Pineapple, lychee, coffee and cream, hint of licorice. Surprising aromas for this color. Taste: virtually all aromas disappear and it turns into a very agreeable stout with a distinct coffee-candy undertone. Roasted malts, slightly oily. Weird but not bad.

A beautiful deep black colour, a great hoppy, coffee nose, an amazing coffee and licorice taste with a nice bitterness and a long finish. What a good beer!

Bottle from Beermerchants. Pours hazy dark brown with a really huge frothy beige head.Aroma of dark light roasted malts, ash and tar, inviting and promising.Smooth creamy palate. Taste is nice weak roasted malts, piney and resiny hops for balance, utterly drinkable for the abv, would def buy again.

On tap at ’t Klooster. Dark with a white head. Hoppy aroma followed by malts and somewhat overwhelming sweet chocolate. Taste is similar, bitter hoppy start followed by sweet chocolate, roasted malts. Bitter hoppy, roasted, aftertaste. Not bad.

Brune opaque, d’encre, quelques reflets rouges.
