Aroma hits with interesting dark fruit. Taste doesn’t quite match being a little bit one sided.

Very dark brown color, average sized off white head. Aroma is very fruity, malty, touch of licorice, slightly herby. Taste is also very fruity, licorice, coffee, caramel, roast, nuts, malty, not much bitterness but still lovely hoppy finish. Slightly dry. Medium to full body, soft to average carbonation. Alcohol is nicely hidden. Great stuff.

From l’Amère à Boire.

From a 33cl, pours a dark brown body with a nice creamy light beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, hints of chocolates and spices. Flavors are great, roasted malts, herbs, chocolates, hops and spices. hints off cookie and bread and caramels. Texture is creamy and yet dry, nice full body with a nice smooth bitterness. I love this balance and mixed of great strong flavors. Wonderful.

Bottle at the lowlander in drury lane. Stale vegetable aroma which is none too pleasing, but a pleasant coffee roasted malt flavour, astringent in character. Bitter chocolate malt finish, quite impressive.

Bottle at Gents Bierfestival. Weard I never tried this before. Roast, light bitterness, quite sweet and malty. I would’ve liked more tropical fruits, and American hops in this. Maybe it wasn’t as fresh as it should’ve been? Decent enough.
