Bottle from the Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer is black colored, with a large beige head and a lot of bubbles. The aroma is very fruity and hoppy, and also has tones of roasted malts, caramel and dark chocolate. The taste is a little sweet from the fruits and caramel but changes into complete bitterness from the dark chocolate and the roasted malts. Also a little alcohol is noticable. The finish is dry, medium bitter and long. Again an excellent beer from Troubadour, but Magma is more my style.

Bottle from the Bottle Stop. Poured a dark reddish brown colou with a medium to thick pale beige head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, pine, hops, grass, chocolate. A nice Belgian take on a style Iím used to from the US and the UK. Flavour has some dark fruit, a little spice, long malty finish. Interesting. As a black IPA didnít do it for me but sod all that bollocks, I enjoyed the beer.

On tap @ Gollemís Proeflokaal. Dark brown with a medium mostly lasting beige head and heavy lacing. Aroma is quite hoppy, but thereís also a good amount of chocolate, light pine and roasted malt. Taste is slightly sweet and moderately bitter with chocolate, roasted malt, pine, citrus and fruity notes. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Somewhat dry finish. The alcohol is well hidden and itís quite drinkable. Very tasty stuff and not too stout-ish despite the chocolate and roasted malt presence. Well executed.

MadRobin (1947) - Silver Spring, USA - MAY 19, 2014
Poured from 330 ml bottle. Cloudy, opaque, dark brown with a 2-finger khaki head and very good lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, prunes, light charcoal, dates, brown sugar, ca, chocolate and earthy hops. Taste of roasted malt, dark fruit, orange, dates , black bread, toffee, roasted coffee, pine, chocolate, tea and floral hops. Unbelievably complex with a new flavor arising with every sip. Medium/light body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

75 cl, flaske, 9,2 % ABV, købt i Den Belgiske Ølbutik i Vanløse, 11. maj 2014. Gentagelse, please!
