3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
33cl bottle from some bottle shop in Belgia. Pours slightly hazy dark brow with a rather modest light beige head. Aroma of roasted malt with licorice, notes of coffee and lots of hops with pine being the most dominating, some fruitiness present too. Medium sweet with a nice mixture of roasty and hoppy flavours and a decent, but balanced bitterness. Medium to full body with carbonation slightly on the lively side. Tasty and dangerously drinkable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very dark brown colour. Not imperial stout-black. Some roasty aroma’s. Mild coffee. Fresh hops. Not a very strong aroma. Taste: much more hop forward than the aroma initiates. Again mild coffee and roastyness. Little, little bit of sweetness and herbal notes. Long lasting bitter finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330cc bottle. Pours dark ruby with tanned creamy head. The nose is fruity, and resin hop. Really feels like having cascade... Great beer! Hoppy but not overpowering. Roasty, sweet but nicely balanced by the hops without being very bitter. Very well crafted. A great beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Chestnut body with a tall rocky head. Aroma has nice aromatic hops, they generally feel American but apparently it’s "100% Belgian West Coast hops" (why not just call them coastal - it’s not like Belgium has an East coast). Smooth taste with cocoa and mildly piney hops. Very drinkable - despite the well hidden 9,2% ABV the hoppiness is not unnecessarily over the top and the beer is easily drinkable. I don’t recall a 9% beer that was as quaffable as this. An interesting take on the strong dark hoppy ale style.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Barwa ciemno brunatna. Piana ładna, obfita i bardzo drobna. W aromacie czuć wyraźną kawę i paloność.

330ml bottle. Pours black in colour with a beige foam head leaving lacing and aroma of roast malt, citrus & pine hoppy. Taste is roasted malt, caramel, toffee, coffee & chocolate, with some citrusy hop, pine and grassy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, roasted earthy bitter finish. Very drinkable.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A very dark brown beer with a medium and beige head. Aroma has strong liquirice, also salt liquirice, some dark fruits and pine. Also some unique and hardly described notes of marshmellow and overriped fruits. Taste has liquirice, some roastiness, salt, also fresh fruityness, medium bitterness that’s nicely increasing in the end to the slightly piney. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Very good and slightly unique black IPA, the powerful and tasteful liquirice is just great.
