Had this one on cask and keg side-by-side at Bierhaus Cork. The cask was getting a bit long in the tooth, so I said Id rate both to give it an accurate reflection. Cask: pours a hazy ruby copper with a bubbly beige head. Aroma is fairly vinegary, as its beginning to turn... but still some nice pumpkin notes coming through. Taste is nice malty and squash sweetness with a little spice and a touch of sour. Smooth but reasonably full mouthfeel, sweet and lightly spicy aftertaste. Keg: left it warm up a little, and the aroma really started to come out. Lots of cinnamon, clove and pumpkin - smells like a fresh spiced pumpkin pie! Light sour start on the taste with a very spicy sweetness and a doughy malty finish. Light spiced aftertaste with a smooth and full mouthfeel. Now thats more like it! Overall, a really nice and drinkable pumpkin ale. Spiced beers wouldnt usually be my think, but I really enjoyed this one!

On tap at Against The Grain. Orange-amber with a white collar. Squash and spice on the nose. Toffee and carrot up front, big nutmeg and cinnamon in middle, then earthy hops. Medium, chewy and round. Thin, over spiced and sticky. More pumpkin spice than pumpkin. Too light for the style, too. Nothing special.

Draught at the bull and castle. Orabnge amber, lovely pumpkin since nose. Flavour is sweet malt and pumpkin, cloying sweetness. Light body, medium carbonation. Sweet finish. A nice pumpkin ale, but not my favorite style.

Draught at L. Mulligan Grocer, Dublin. Hazy bronze colour, creamy head. Spicy pumpkin aroma. Dryish with light-medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Fruity, spicy and lightly buttery. Balanced bitterness. Interesting and well drinkable.

On tap at Brew Dock. Dark golden pour with small, dissipating white head. Aroma: pumpkin, hops, malt, hint of citrus, nutmeg and a bready aroma. Slightly tangy on initial sip with good carbonation. Quite a balanced flavour profile. A lot of pumpkin, hint of citrus, malty sweet notes, spice and bread.

On tap at Against the Grain. Appearance: Golden orange, good visible carbonation, small white head. Aroma: Awesome pumpkin pie nose, vanilla and spices. Smells great. Flavour: Fantastically pumpkin, right up there with a North American standard, like a mild pie in beer format. I was so surprised (not at Trouble Brewing) but at how popular this was. Ive been craving pumpkin ales since moving back from Canada and this certainly scratched the itch. Fantastic. Well done.
