Bottle at Mum and Dads, from Callans Dundalk, 30/08/14. Clear golden amber with a well appointed off white head. Nose is caramel malt, toasted bread, faint orange and citric peel. Taste comprises more caramel malt, bitter orange, candied sugars, light bready notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with faint hop bitterness. Not an IPA, kind of an ESB with a dose of hops or a lightly hopped APA. Sub par for style, no hops!

Tap at the Bull & Castle, amber with a lacing head and pine and grapefruit aromas. Hugely dry and bitter. Bitter citrus and dry toffee. Mmm...

Mellow and inoffensive. Light hop flavor balanced with malts. Not very agressive but nothing particularly bad about it.

From bottle. Pours clear amber. Nice white head which dissipates quickly. No hop aroma. All crystal caramel malt. Taste is very sweet. Chewy. Couldn’t find bottling date on the bottle so perhaps this bottle is old and the hops have died. Would like to try it fresh.

Deep amber color, small white head, gone before I could taste it, no lacing. Candied apple, caramel, floral hops, some orange, biscuit in both aroma and flavor. Thin oily mouthfeel, mild bitterness, sweet biscuit and apples. Finish is short. Forgettable.

På fad, Porterhouse, Dublin. Klar ravgylden med lavt off white skum-hovede. Karamel-malt og frugtige tropiske humle-noter i næsen. Velhumlet aroma efter irsk standard. God balance i smagen mellem maltsødmen og et medium bittert finish.

Cask @ Black Sheep, Dublin [210114]
Amber, hazy, thin off white head, some lacing, some bits floating in the pint
Aroma of soft fruits, soft sweet caramel, dab of orange
Taste of soft fruits, citrus hop, caramel, touch of peach, sweet fruity malts, slight orange sherberty hop
Palate - medium body, fairly oily, quite smooth, fairly sweet, some bitter hop. Finish as main flavour, bit dry
Overall - Not sure about the cask condition...came across as rather average
