COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a dark, deliciously roasty brew with hints of chocolate in both flavor and aroma. This stout is velevety smooth with a dry, roasted finish.

12oz bottle ink stamped on bottom 5315-pours a creamy, light brown head. Color is black with a red tint. Aroma is coffee, hint of oatmeal. Upon drinking, the first impression is a light refreshing sensation, followed by a coffee, oatmeal taste. Comes across as a lighter body & mouthfeel than usual for the category. Nicely done, but not my taste.

bottle, this one I liked. Dark brown pour wtih a beige head. Aroma is chocolate dominated and small hints of coffee. I get a sweet start with some chocolate and dried fruit. Taste is nice, body is a tad watery. Still this one tasted good.

Dark brown beer with a thick rocky tan head. The nose is a bit carbonic with a touch of light cocoa on the back. A little bit of fairly cola-esque aroma as well. Thin-bodied without much in the way of complexity. Very watery and a bit herbal. Roasty and fairly astringent on the back. Meh... very poor.

Roasted malt and chocolate smoke…The skeleton of a stout…

Pours a thin dark black with a thick lightly lacing tan head. Rich milk chocolate oatmeal aroma with coffee undertones. Body starts thin and dull with a light mix of sweet and sour but has a pleasant long lasting chocolatey grainy finish. A novel idea for a beer, but it could've been done better.

When I poured this out from the 12 oz bottle, the first thing I thought to myself as I smelled this beer is "wow, they’re really trying." The key here is trying. Way too watery and thin to ever be taken seriously as a true stout. The flavor is not bad, but very strong with hints of coffee. So strong, in fact that I have to wonder if the brewer first brewed a batch of coffee and dumped it in for laughs.

Bottle. Pours a dark bruin body with a ruby hue and a creamy off white head. Aromatically malty, light chocolate sweetness, a hint of bitter roast, and some faint grain y oatmeal tones. Light chocolate sweetness, a bit dry and lackluster oatmeal body with a mild roasitness to finish. A decent stout.

Pours a dark brown with very little head or lacing. Nose is roasted malts with hints of chocolate and coffee. Taste is similar but quite bland; just the occasional hint of flavor here and there. Mouthfeel is a bit better with a nice creaminess and some body. Not my favorite representation of the style. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-24-2010

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of roasted and burnt malts, creme, and some oats. Poured dark black/brown in color with a small, fizzy, brown head that disappeared immediately. Opaque. Sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of acid, balsamic vinegar, roasted malts, chocolate, oats, and cream. Light to medium body. Watery, thin texture. Lively carbonation. Roasted malt and bittersweet chocolate finish.
