Oakes (6973), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Dec 28, 2000 argo0 (6230), Washington DC, USA Dec 31, 2003 Hazy golden body with an off-white head that explodes out of the bottle. Aroma is lemon, light flowery. Taste is medium sweet, floral, some lemon tartness. Finishes lemon. Watery medium body. They can call it an IPA all they want, but it doesn't seem like one to me. hopdog (4645), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 1, 2008 12oz bottle acquired in trade with 46er3498 (thanks!). Poured a medium and hazy golden color with a small sized white head. Subtle aromas of citrus and fruity. Tastes of citrus and grainy. Thinner taste and thin body. If I had this blind, i wouldn’t have guessed it was an IPA (amber ale). muzzlehatch (4424), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jul 8, 2002 07/01 Hoppy enough, but smoother going down and on the finish than most IPAs I’ve had. The opaque amber/orange body is beautiful, but there is little for the nose to appreciate. Decent. 06/02 this brewer’s beers just keep getting weaker and weaker; really find the body on this to be lacking, and it really isn’t ’hoppy enough’ now after a year of finding many more challenging IPAs. Avoid, as you should all Trout Rivers. MartinT (4377), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 7, 2002 Good dry hop bitterness…Its frail body evokes that of a white wine…A wooden character as well…An honest I.P.A….
