3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from a trade with StFun. Poured a brown/red color. Smelled a little fruity and the taste was definately a little sour. I was very surprised, I was expecting just another typical amber.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Obtained through trade (as the beer to be named later...). This one is by no means an Amber Ale. I think what they meant to say was Sour Ale because there was clearly bacteria present. A little carbinated for my taste, but I liked the sour/tartness. Props to my homies at RR brew!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from jjpm74. Thanks man. Pours a hazy brownish red with a nice head. It looks pretty decent. Aroma is somewhat sour with a good dose of tart citrus. A little caramel malts and sweet toasty aspects are detectable, but the tart aspects dominate. Almost to the point of it reminding me of a low grade sour ale. I am pretty sure it wasn’t supposed to be this way, but it did not taste bad even though it was obviously not in good form. It was tart with a decent sour flavor. A little tart citrus stings the tongue all the while some toasted malts peak through. Light and kind of sour. I rated this based on how it tasted to me, and even though it was obviously messed up, it did not taste all that bad. Oh well.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
From a 12 fl. oz. bottle without any lot code or date. It must have been highly carbonated because when I cracked the top off it really fizzed up (too much actually). It almost popped like a cork! It isn’t really red because it pours a handsome brown-amber with a ton of foamy beige head. Aroma of yeast, malts and fruit. Decent mouthfeel. The taste was mostly malted and maybe just a sprinkle of hops. It seened kind of dry to me.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Loved this brew! Pours a cloudy amber colour with a medium sized white head. Aroma is sweet, hoppy and enticing. soft floral hops give way to a long silyk finish.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle thanks to jjpm74, who I agree is a good trader. This bottle was obviously infected....gusher with sour and twang with every sip. Very unfortunate, but it happens.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle (12oz). Via trade with jjpm74, who is an amazing trader, so get trading with him!!. Cloudy ruby pour, very large fluffy-foamy head - borderline gusher, really. Dry, sharply spicy/yeasty aroma, sweet roast malt. Has a tart dry yeasty tang to it, minerally almost, has the "red" and "amber" thang going on, but mostly dry and yeasty. Average body, sharp carbonation, with a dry near-sour finish. Okay, I guess. I mean it might be a tad infected? Off the bat I was thinking "wtf - is this from Au Maitre Brasseur"???

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2008 9/15/2004. Just tried this on tap at my local bar. Dark reddish color topped with a relatively small white head and an adequate amount of lacing. Aroma is sweety and malty, with a citrus, fruity flavor mixed in with some spice. Nothing too complex at all, but it was very smooth with a clean finish. Easy to drink a bunch of these which I ended up doing tonight

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from jjpm74. Pours a cloudy rust color with big off-white head. The aroma is sweet caramel with some sweet fruity notes and a very very light roasted hint. The flavor is far fruitier than I was expecting. Strawberry and melon abound, with only a light hint of caramel. The finish dries out unexpectedly, but gives it an almost refreshing twist. A bit of a strange amber ale, but I’ll have no problem finishing the bottle.
