Commercial Description:
Our classic London-style brew is nearly black in appearance, with a dense, foamy, tan head. Its robust, coffee-toffee flavor and richly bittersweet maltiness come from blending eight different malts, including caramel and roasted. Yields a roasted, chocolaty aroma and a complex, biscuit-like sweetness. Enormously complex, yet with an easy-drinking, medium body.

Standard black pour with red edges. Thick, rich aromas of chocolate, dried grass and roasted malt. The tastes are way above average. Chocolate, nuts, coffee, toffee and sweet malt. A top notch porter indeed.

Typical dark brown, verging on black, thick lasting creamy head. Weak roasty chocolate nose, slightly stronger flavor which again is primarily bittersweet chocolate and roasted grain. Thin finish.

Had this back in August’02 at the brewpub and was quite pleased. If this beer evolves like the Lucknow Porter did we should have quite a treat.

Deep dark ruddy brown. Small tan head. Deep roasted grain/malty nose. Smooth, well balanced, mocha/coffee, caramel, toffe flavor, medium bodied, nicely well rounded bitter finish.
