An ultra-premium, all-malt authentic Lager beer at 5% alc./vol. Light gold colour with light grain aromas and a delicate floral and citrus hop nose. A balanced fresh malt flavour and moderate hop bitterness are rounded by deep cold aging. A versatile beer with many foods, but particularly well matched with chicken soups, lobster bisque, vinaigrette salads, chicken dishes, whitefish, shellfish, cream pastas, fruit pies, and light creamy cheeses.

clear but darker almost copper colour. Sweet aroma with fresh cut hay, sweet malts, and a light corn note. Has almost no flavour besides carbonation and bitter with a slight sweet finish. Not half bad but still a terrible style of beer.

Bottle - Pale malt and some overripe fruit. Clear gold with a good white head. Overripe stone fruit and a sweet finish. A little more body that a light beer and a bit fruity.

341 ml bottle from brewery. Clear blonde in the glass, thin white head. Smells grainy with some faint fruit. Some apple sweetness to the malt detected, but really not much. Crisp, clean, no bitterness or aftertaste to speak of. Thirst quenching suds.

341ml bottle. Pours a crystal clear, golden yellow with a white, one finger head that thins and leaves nice lacing. Aroma has faint notes of grain, caramel, and a slight citrus fruitiness. Taste is a balanced bitter with a touch of apple juice on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Crisp and clean in the mouth. Overall not bad but not spectacular. Taste is a bit plain but still very refreshing and drinkable. Pretty much on target for the style. Cheers!

Lager. Call it premium if you want, still just tastes like lager. Granted, a little better than your average swill, but still a lager. Pours golden with ok head and lacing - better than their cream ale in fact. Finishes with some like sugary malt. Bottle from brewery.

July 29, 2012 - Toronto Festival Of Beers. Draught. QuickTick time. Clear and bright oily looking gold with a huge fizzy/foamy lasting white head. Aroma of fresh cereal grain, oily, and a little surprising dry herbal bitterness - hate to say, but I didn’t find that bitterness all that pleasant (6-). Taste is a little sweet, almost sugary, a touch harsh. Light body, mild carbonation, finishes quickly, leaves just a slightly harsh sugary aftertaste - at least it wasn’t skunky.

Originally rated May 2004 (when it was simply called "True North Lager" and there was a big white bear on the case. Poured a golden colour to create a quick lasting head. Lots of carbonation, and a sweet malt nose. Light flavour with a slight bitter finish. Refreshing.

Tap at Squirly’s. Pale golden pour with a white head. The aroma is bland and fairly regular. Perhaps some DMS and light hops. It’s a bit sweet as well. Pretty horrid actually. These guys make so much good beer - why are they making this? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bright yellow colour. A basic mouthfeel. A little cheesy. Not a great lager, and maybe as good as a macro.

bottle. slightly hazy golden pour with large white head. Aroma is malty, lightly acidic, faintly hoppy, and honey. Flavor is sweet honey malt with a faintly spicy flavor. Solid but nothing too crazy.
