Commercial Description:
An ultra-premium, all-malt authentic Lager beer at 5% alc./vol. Light gold colour with light grain aromas and a delicate floral and citrus hop nose. A balanced fresh malt flavour and moderate hop bitterness are rounded by deep cold aging. A versatile beer with many foods, but particularly well matched with chicken soups, lobster bisque, vinaigrette salads, chicken dishes, whitefish, shellfish, cream pastas, fruit pies, and light creamy cheeses.

341mL bottle: Orange-amber body, well carbonated with little to no head. Smells of grain and hops. Flavor is full and well rounded combination of hops and grain, traces of pepper, smooth nutty finish. The mouthfeel is slightly watery and carbonated but still very crisp and refreshing. This is good stuff. The label boasts that this brew won awards across the globe. Frankly, I think this may be stretching the truth, but it’s still good stuff.

[1577-20080810] Tap. Fruity grains aroma has a slight plastic note. Clear, light orange yellow body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Fruity plastic grains continues in the flavour. Medium body. Weird plastic notes are distracting.

Sampler. Golden appearance with a thin white head. You can definitely get the citrus flavours in this beer. Also has a flowery side to it. Pleasant and enjoyable beer.

341ml bottle, 5.0% a/v Pours a rich gold colour, with a smaller head, though its lacing nicely. Aroma is unusually fresh, hops, bready malts, and a bit of fruitiness. The taste is very nice and fresh, very nice malt taste with some complexity which backs into a delicious hoppiness and then a clean aftertaste. A very surprisingly full mouthfeel for a beer like this too. Not bad at all!

Bottle: Puts a clear gold lager in the glass with a decent frothy cap that lasts and laces well. Fresh grainy malts and grassy hops...no sweetness in the aroma Good dose of bready specialty carapils and ambers in the front,...hops chyme in late but balance with their grassy-woody notes...clean swift finish biscuit after taste. A well made straight ahead Canadian lager made the way they were before EP Taylor buggered commercial brews. When fresh this is one of the better lagers on TBS shelves.

An excellent lager. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a well-made premium lager. Malts are right up front and in the finish. Tastes great, certainly no skimping on the ingredients or process. At its competitive price point, you wonder why people pay the same, if not more, for Molson Canadian. It simply tastes "real," that’s the best word I can think of.
