Appearance: Clear light amber look with large tanned , foamy frisky top. Nose: Mineral , dusty with caramel , crystal malts soft hops on side.6+ Flavor/Palate : Medium light bodied. Slight nutty woody mid feel with softer thinner malt side. Some raw bitterness noted. Fuller finish with more wholesome feel. Decent ale , sweeter front with alt styled backing. A bit to light for old school Alt.

This is the only representation of the style that i’m aware of in Ontario. I’ve noticed that the amount of Alt character has diminished significantly over the last year. I hope it is a seasonal thing because the flavour is yeast derived and colder fermentation temps will give more of it. Anyway, it is a bright copper coloured ale, lightly hopped - to style - and a little sweeter than style guidelines. Alt character is fully evident, more at times then others (varies from season to season). Their winter beer last year was excellent. Hopefully we will see this again sometime in November. Rating given for the beer at its best.
