Sep 24, 2002 Re-sample: more robust than previous tastings. Hop notes far more apparent now, with good earthy malts. Nicely balanced, still a touch light but has achieved legitimate IPA status in my mind and is worthy of my attention down the road.

Oct 17, 2001 Rather heavy for only 6.5%. Hoppy bitterness. Finishes smooth.

Feb 12, 2004 Mildly citrus hop nose with strong malt apparent. Copper colour with small white head. Flavour a bit more timid than I expected - good malt base and decently bitter but hop flavour was surprisingly small. Medium body. Short flavour profile left me wanting just a bit more from this one, though it was definitely serviceable. Bottle.

May 2, 2005 Pale amber colour, white head. Aroma of light citrus, Cascades mostly, sweet crystal malt aroma, bready. Flavour seems a bit too sweet. There are a decent amount of aroma hops, but not nearly enough bitterness for all of the sweet malts. Honeyish aroma.

May 16, 2005 Thanks pintbypint. If this had been placed in front of me to smell, I would have guessed this was Three Floyd’s Alpha King. Awesome aroma of bread, biscuits and flowery oranges. The taste is bright citrus with bread crust and flowers. A nice session style IPA.
