2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Robe dorée très claire surmontée d’une mousse blanche épaisse en dentelle qui persiste. Arômes de métal. Saveurs légères de houblon amérisant et de houblon floral.

Not bad grassy and citrus aroma. Light body hoppy flavors and good carbonation. I’d drink again.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear amber colour. Muted aroma with some english malty, earthyness and some floral hops. Medium to light body, some bitterness with a malty backbone. drinks more like a bitter but it is okay English IPA, just very boring.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - Light grassy notes. Clear gold with a small white head. Earthy hops and a light bitterness. Very English in style and quite drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2014 341 ml bottle from the brewery. Pours clear and golden, white head with small bubbles. Well carbonated. Mostly bready, caramel candied sugar and slightly, roasty malt on the nose, some spicy hops. Pretty much the same for the taste, and I get a bit of booze. Nice English IPA.

What gets me with this one is the caramel malts hides most of the hops. Very faint hops at the end, came out more as the beer warmed up. Not a big fan of the bready malts, but but bought a 12 pack so what’s a guy to do?

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 7, 2014 341ml bottle. Pours a clear deep golden colour with a half finger, white head that fades to nearly nothing fast. Aroma has slight bready/biscuit notes with faint hops to balance it out. Taste is slightly bitter with notes of biscuit and English hops. Slightly fruity and metalic with a semi-dry finish and drawn out, bitter aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation. Overall not bad but not my style. I prefer a more West coast style IPA to a traditional English style. Worth a try if you enjoy the style. Cheers!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours amber and clear, slight sweetness to the nose , the hops are not overpowering, slightly nutty on the nose. Tastes almost like a session beer and then you see that its 6.5% it really hides it well.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pretty decent malt profile here but not much hops. Pours clear dark amber with fizzy head, some lacing. Finishes with light bitterness. Has some booze with the caremelized malt. Soft carbonation. Bottle from brewery.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is one of the few IPAs that are close to 7% in my local beer store. I find that odd that a lot of ales are called IPA but are only 5%. Over all a very enjoyable beer. Second best IPA that I’ve tried to date. Great flavour with a nice hoppy taste. Reminds me slightly of Flying Monkey’s Hoptical Illusion. Although the hop taste in that beer is significantly more noticeable.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Originally rated May 2004. Golden orange in colour, this IPA with a medium head leaves a foamy lacing. Lightly carbonated, I can smell hints of citrus (specially oranges). It has a medium bitter taste to it but with a smooth finish. The strong alcohol content is not unpleasant, but hits the right spot in your head. Better then Keith’s for a Canadian IPA.
