2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 MrManning (1942) - London, Ontario, CANADA - APR 13, 2006
Bottle- GOlden body with a frothy white cap. Distinct hops aroma for a light, with mild fruit, and malt in the nose. Taste is actually pretty good. Both hops biotterness and sweet malt are present. No real finish, except it is notably bland.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jerc (5444) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 25, 2004
Draft. My first impression was that the body was surprisingly nice for a light beer, better than many macro lagers. Pale yellow body with a good white head. Flavour is fairly bland, but has enough malt and hint of hops to make it one of the better light beers out there.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 CapFlu (3767) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 2, 2003
(Bottle) Pours a large white head and a clear yellow body. Light malt nose. Nice complexity for the style and ABV. Very surprising actually. Good malt flavour. I am truly impressed with this brewery...
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 DougShoemaker (3149) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2003
Hoppy/malty nose, amber, small white head. Fruit, malt taste, good body for a light, pleasantly bitter, average.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 mrkimchee (1414) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 16, 2003
this is a light? it's surprisingly good. not that it's great, but I'd guess it as a good
macro lager before a light. malt and buttery aroma. canned peach sweetness and even a bit of bitterness in the finish.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 joeycapps (1467) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 27, 2003
Clear, bright yellow. White head. Extremely faint aroma. Light body. Inoffensive but very bland flavour. No aftertaste to speak of.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 dhurtubise (568) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 12, 2003
A micro that tries to compete with the macros (why?). It is relatively bland beer with no flaws but no qualities to speak of.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Oakes (9997) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 31, 2001
As befits a microbrewed light lager, it is bland according to style, but a fair bit fuller than the big brewery fare.
