Beer Snob (348), Ontario, Canada May 14, 2008 Amber with a small head. Bland taste that is livened somewhat by a nice malty blast. Finishes with a bit of bitterness and is instantly forgettable. But not unpleasant.
Eructoblaster (1252), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Apr 2, 2007 Bottle. Nice amber/copper body topped with a thin off-white creamy head. Good Malty/hoppy head that carries brown sugar notes. Taste lacks complexity and strenght. It ends with a decent bittersweet finish. jerc (3102), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 13, 2006 Bottle at TFOB 2006. Copper-orange with small white head. Mild malt aroma foreshadows a sweet malt flavour with light notes of toasty malt and caramel. Just enough bitterness balances out the finish. Palate is slightly more full than average. Have balked at commiting to a twelve pack to try this and am suprised how solid it is. I am wondering if they have changed the recipe because the earlier low ratings seem to not match what I was drinking. GregClow (2318), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 12, 2006 Bottle sample at TFOB ’06. Dark golden-amber with a small beige head. Aroma of dark, sweet malts and subdued hops. Well balanced flavour, with roasted and caramel malt and a expertly hopped finish. Another solidly constructed beer from Magnotta. MrManning (1429), London, Ontario, Canada Apr 14, 2006 Bottle- Pours deep gold with a slight off white bubbly head. Minute lace looks good. Nice malt/dark bread aroma, with solid hops presence and some floral nuances. Tastes pretty good too. Good hops bitterness in the flavour, with a nice balance of sweet malt, bread, and slight pine. Finishes strong, with good lingering euro type lager strength.
