An ultra-premium Bavarian-style wheat beer at 5% alc./vol. Yellow colour with slight, natural wheat beer haze. Subtle aromas of yeast and delicate ripe banana. Slightly tart and mildly malty with a perfect balance between flavours of clove and banana. Silky mouthfeel. Wonderfully refreshing and thirst quenching. Enjoy with fruit salad, seafood and shellfish, egg dishes, smoked meats, lemon and other fruit pies and cakes, and edam and swiss cheeses

Light body. Sweet - icing sugar, some understated banana and phenols. Pale tan, cloudy, not so much head though. Slightly grassy notes, phenols, banana, sweet malts in the aroma. A little wet in the finish. I like the structure, but it's too light on the palate for my tastes.

Tap at the Manx Ottawa. Hazy yellow blond with a banana and sulfured rotten eggs aroma. Fresh wheat malt with a hint of lemon (due to slug) and a lighter body. Banana taste is on the synthetic side.

Funky aroma and taste, yeasty, and although not a great example of the style I found this unfiltered beer interesting and one of the better of the Magnotta line. Yellow and obvious yeasty appearance. Average mouthfeel, decent drinkability.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2008 2008=08-10. Cloudy pastel yellow, modest white head and lacing. (3+) Modest aroma of yeasty citrus. Flavour is similar to the aroma, mild yeast and touches of citrus, ends with a tart wheaty zip in the finish. Average plus palate. Simple but serviceable wheat beer. 7/4/7/3/13 - 3.4

2003-06-13. The Wunder Weisse was also excellent, but had more clove flavour than Denison’s. I prefer the Denison’s as I find it leans slightly more towards the fruity side of the equation with just enough clove. I believe that is a result of the yeast strains used but I could be wrong. 8/3/6/4/13 - 3.4 St. Lawrence Market Craft Beer Show.

Deep yellow pour. The nose is a little bit chewy and some distinct DMS. Fairly sugary and sulphury. Meh. Light spice and some dirty banana. Light bodied.

[1575-20080810] Tap. Banana wheat yeast aroma. Hazy, pale yellow orange body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Yeasty citrus lemon zest flavour. Medium body is zesty. Not bad.

Lovely banana aroma. Big white head. Superb drink ability, maybe slightly too sweet to be great but well made overall.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy yellow, somewhat flat looking, with a small diminishing white head. Aroma of grain, citrus and yeast. Watery flavour’s kind of sweet with some mild fruit, yeast and a smidgen of spices. Light bodied. Both the aroma and flavour are overly mild, this is pretty mediocre stuff.

Bottle (341ml). Bottle labelled "True North Wunder Weisse" with Magnotta on the cap. Clear pale yellow with nice side-bubbled on the glass, fast-diminishing fizzy white head. Aroma of banana, lemon, pear and maybe cider - sort of wan and sugary, but not nasty or vegetal. Taste is very watery, sweetened lemon and banana esters, and a little alcohol, mildly spicy - not bad, just not all that much there to talk about - very watery mouthfeel, yet sort of thick too, lightly fizzy, lingering tongue-tingle. I’d rate it lower, but I had a Harpoon UFO Hefe earlier today, and this blows that away, even though this is still fairly weak.
