3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask at the Defectors Weld, Shepherds Bush. Amber-chestnut with a moderate off-white head. Caramel, chocolate, dry leaves, a touch of smoke and a sprinkle of spice. Sweet with a mildly dry finish. Tough enough to stand up for itself directly after a US IPA, and pretty pleasant to finish the night on, but maybe a little too sweet to session on.

August 21, 2013 - cask hand-pull at The George (Fleet Street). Clear light amber with a decent slightly diminishing off-white bubbly head. Typical bitter - light caramel, floral bitterness, mild alcohol. Taste follows - not twiggy, not too sugary, could be a tad more bitter, but well found and balanced. Light body, very very mild astringency, not much carbonation, quick finish. Decent.
