Cask; Regular (but production was suspended for a while in Summer 2011 to make way for Summer Runner).
a modern 4% bitter made with classic British ingredients. It has a deep copper-red colour, a spicy, fruity aroma with a powerful hint of chocolate, a fruity and bitter palate, and a complex finish that offers peppery hops, rich chocolate and fruit.

Cask at The Globe, Moorgate, London. This was drunk pretty late into a heavy session in London and my notes are pretty shoddy but I remember it as a deep ruby-brown beer with a diminishing, off-white head that left loose lacing. On the whole it was a tasty bitter with smooth, creamy character and peppery/herbal hop notes.

Cask halfpint at the Argyll Arms. Copper colour, moderate off-white head. Malty aroma, a little fruit too. The medium dry flavour has some some tingling fruity and earthy hops, on a sufficient malty background with some toffee. Decent bitterness in the finish.

Pleasand treacly aroma. Dark cherrywood colour. Flattish look and palate. Woody dryness, quite wooly bitterness. A simple bitter. Dull, but no technical flaws.

Cask at The Railway Tavern, Richmond London. Clear deep golden beer with a small beige head. Fruity roasted aroma, grassy, grapes, chocolate notes. Roasted chocolate flavor at first, then turning fruity with grapes, some late bitterness. Ok.

Cask-conditioned at the Grosvenor, Hanwell. Deep amber with a slight, off-white, head. Easy drinking bitter, with some grassy hop, touch of hedgerow fruit, full, bready malts and a decent, bitter finish. Good.

Reddish copper colored beer with white big bubbled dense but persistent head leaving lacing. Aroma has chocolate, wood and fruits. Flavor has bitterness, wood and fruits. Palate is quite thin and fluffy. Finish has almost no bitterness and feels watery. Aftertaste has wood and chocolate. Very flavorless and watery. I just don’t get cask ales and bitters.

Draught. Deep ruby brown pour. Caramel, chestnut, and spice in the roma. Has some grape and plum in the finish. Solidly malty. Exactly what you’d hope for getting a dark bitter.

Pivo piji jako každý obyčejný člověk, mé komenty tedy nemaji takovou hodnotu jako u pivnich znalců. Pišu sem jen protože musim pro statistiku :D
