Draught kolsch glass @ Nuernberg Brauhaus in Pflugerville, TX- served a transparent wheat straw yellow, medium carbonation, wafer thin white head that tried it’s best to lace it’s vessel. Aroma of light grains and hops. Hits the mouth with a light body, malt is refined but pleasent, middle has a light hop bite intertwined with a small wheat sensation, finish is crisp, drying, and satisfying. It was hard NOT to order another one- so it’s good in my book!

Clear yellow, good head. Aroma has hints of black mixed in with hints of white. Yes, It’s skunked, and you can smell it from 2 feet away! Please - ban the green bottle. You’re asking for a bad review.

(bottle from Platte Ave Liquor, sampled 3/21/10). Clear golden color. Medium white head, which is mostly diminishing. Light grainy aroma. Spicy hop flavor, with light bitterness. Avg duration. Dry finish. Thin/slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

On tap somewhere in San francisco. Nothing special about this beer. Tasted fine but nothing to write home about

On tap at the Map Room. Pours a clear and clean straw gold color with light bubbly white head. Aroma is of light grassy hops, light citrus notes and light malt notes. Taste is of light fruit, grassy hops, and light cereal malt. Can’t believe the score on this, but on tap it’s clean and easily drinkable.

Served in a 0.5 L kolsch glass. Clear yellow with a medium white head. Bready/herbal aroma. Taste is honeyish malts with a dry noble hop finish. So, it is possible to brew a great German pilsener in America.

Bottle. Pale yellow in colour with a medium-sized head. Floral hop aroma and small hints of citrus fruit. Sweet malt with a weak fruity hop flavour . Clean and crisp taste.

Not a bad pils at all. Ordered on tap, nose was pretty standard to the style, hitns of grain, sugar and butter, taste was like a full bodied pils. hints of grain and toffee, very clean profile.
