Though from Bottleworks where it was doubtless handled well, I’m not sure this was the freshest. Some skunk the aroma detracting from what could otherwise be a quite nice coupling of grainy and gently sweet malt with a dry assertive close. dwyerpg (2529), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Grassy and herbal hoppy nose with a light-sweet pale malty blend. Bitter flavour, light bodied with a soft mouthfeel. Well-rounded malty base with a dry herbal and minimal grassy hoppy finish. Not a highlight but a drinkable Pils. 26.XI.08 billk (300), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA

A not quite into medium bodied pils that has a subtle, refined, fresh floral hop aroma and taste, along with the quality European type malt it is a good brew. A very mild sweetness, with a touch of tart and crisp.
I like a decent pils and this one is into the do again circle for me. floydian1 (276), FNQ, Australia
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 31, 2009 Elegant green 330ml bottle from Salzburg Austria purchased at Dan Murphy’s. It is also brewed in California and I’ve tried that as well - the two versions are indistinguishable. It looks good when served in it’s signature cylindrical tall glass with a clear straw yellow body and a foamy white head that reduces after a few minutes to leave good lacing. The nose is grainy pilsner malts with grassy hops and a touch of citrus. The taste is restrained sweet malts with a soft citrus fruitiness and a nice crisp dry hop bitterness to the finish with a hint of minerals in the aftertaste. It is light-medium bodied with a lively carbonation and a slick texture. Nicely balanced flavours and immensely drinkable. Overall it is a refreshing understated uncomplicated German style pilsner providing good evidence that not all well made craft beers have to be blockbusters. It is even better on tap. Rather under-rated on this site in my opinion. DewBrewer (268), Austin, Texas, USA

Very classic German Pils, a style I have begun to appreciate more and more after the initial love affair with English and Belgian styles. Crisp, clean, no DMS. Excellent beer. I get plenty of grass an light malt smells. Clean light flavour, nicely bitter with a fresh finish. Quite enjoyable.
