4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Nebulor (109) - , California, USA - FEB 14, 2009
Pours a blond color with lots of action and I was able to swirl around some haziness. The head appears white and is minimal.
Has a fresh not skunky beer smell similar to a St. Pauli Girl only fresh with some sweet pale or pilsner malts with lime hops in the background.
Well balanced Pilsner that is crisp from the grainy taste of the malts to the lemon/lime and mild grapefruit esters of the hop flavors.
Drinkability is excellent can be a session beer or a session starter.

Pours a slightly hazy gold color with moderate carbonation. Aroma of malts and grass. Crisp hoppy taste with a fine malty finish. Decent beer.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2009 On tap at Blue Chalk in Palo Alto during the Stanford-Cal game. Not many good options there. This beer is OK, but nothing special really.
Pours clear light golden-yellow color with a medium-sized, well-retained white head.
Aroma is somewhat light. Pale malt, grain, and grassy hops. Typical pilsner profile with not much more there.
Flavor is pleasant. Grainy with 2-row malt, along with a clean and crisp grassy hop presence. Not bad at all, but really not in the same league as something like Victory Prima Pils.
Light on the palate with a clean, fairly dry, and slightly bitter finish.
Drinkability is high, but this is really a pretty drinkable style overall, and this beer doesn’t stand out from other pilsners in that respect.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BlackForestCO (944) - Aurora, Colorado, USA - DEC 31, 2008
Bottle. Poured a clear yellow color with rising bubbles and a thick white head that slowly receded, leaving good lacing. Aroma of pilsner malt, bread, some earthy straw, and a light hoppiness. Smooth, crisp entry with some light breadiness and a hint of cracker that leads into a clean, light yeastiness with some undertones of soft fruit rinds and a subtle hoppiness. Lively carbonation, smooth, and easy to drink. A shame this is bottle in green bottles, because it is a decent beer when not skunked.
