KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Jun 3, 2009 Huh, didnt realize it was an austrian beer brewed in Berkley, just thought it was a Berkley beer.
The beer itself was a nice dry, quick hitting pils thats perfect for a hot summer day.
NobleSquirrel (1100), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 31, 2009 Draft at Green Eye. Pours a pale yellow with a fine bubbled head. Nose is clean and malty, a little floral hop character, though mostly biscuity malts. On taste, very clean and a touch dusty with some mild sweet malt notes. The hop character is almost bland and just there to support the hops, not what I think of when I hear Pils. But still, very drinkable and decent. shakespeare33 (120), san diego, California, USA May 26, 2009 12 oz bottle.. pours a translucent creamed corn color with no real aroma maybe a light spicey skunkiness... the initial hit to the palate is both refreshing and surprising with hints of floral hoppiness and an light bite that begs for another sip. Usually these types of pilsners are unimpressive but I really can grab ahold of this one. Good summer session pilsner with more to it than the typical pilsner... not bad.. not bad at all SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA May 23, 2009 sampled at Austin UFO hangout .. . a pretty simple beer .. . aroma, no real factor .. . good bitters .. . a tasty surprise .. . simple .. you want more, hire a monkey for your amusement park .. . VitaminR (422), Colorado, USA May 14, 2009 Sticky skunky nose (in a good way), some spice. Pale gold color, smallish head. Sweet butter croissants, with grass, and a bitter snap--balance is OK. Big carbonation, smooth body, finish is a bit harsh. Not the best Pils, felt a little rough, but any harbor in a storm. fidel (886), Livermore, California, USA May 10, 2009 Poured clear pale yellow, bananna, malty, bready, clove, little citrus, little orange peal. Taverner (827), San Ramon, California, USA Apr 27, 2009 Honey colored. Aroma is fairly bland. Fairly sweet pilsener. Bready flavors finishing clean. kidmartinek (972), austin, Texas, USA Mar 29, 2009 A nice golden pour with an appreciable 1 inch head that lasts a few minutes. Good mineral and dry hop aroma that’s a little sweet and characteristic of a pils. Strong aroma for a pils. Decent malt and hops flavor that is well balanced. Light lacing. The flavor also has notes of a dry wood taste like hickory and is very bitter on the finish. The bubbles rising in the tall Trumer pils glass are a beautiful site.
