| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 29, 2009 A nice golden pour with an appreciable 1 inch head that lasts a few minutes. Good mineral and dry hop aroma that’s a little sweet and characteristic of a pils. Strong aroma for a pils. Decent malt and hops flavor that is well balanced. Light lacing. The flavor also has notes of a dry wood taste like hickory and is very bitter on the finish. The bubbles rising in the tall Trumer pils glass are a beautiful site. | 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Quite skunky. Tastes bitter and pours like crap. This was a rough glass to make it through. mgoy (343), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 3, 2009 On tap at Tommy’s Joynt in San Francisco. Trumer Pils is a clear yellow color. The aroma is sweet with perfumy characteristics and a sweet malt base. The finish was crisp, but held on to a bit of a sour aftertaste. boFNjackson (1269), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 2, 2009 Bottle... Poured a clear golden/yellow with a thick white head that kept some nice lacing. Fruity, cracker-grain and corn aroma. Flavor didn’t keep up as much as the aroma. Seemed to have fell flat with an overly grassy or pine character. It was certainly crisp and refreshing, but that’s all that was going for it. Other earthy, biscuit and corn malt notes. danielst (139), Vienna, Austria
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2009 Updated: May 30, 2009Aroma is that of grassy hops, but malt and yeast (almost as in a weißbier) is also sensible. The taste is very crisp, as bitter as it should be, with a fresh, dry mouthfeel. If you are looking for a good austrian pilsener, I’d recommend to grab this one. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 28, 2009 On tap at the Yard House in Scottsdale Fashion Square. Clear bright golden pour under a short dense white head. Mildly fruity aroma. Lots of flavor packed into a classically reserved style with a little apple, peach, malt and a thin wisp of hops. Soft, almost creamy mouthfeel and a mildly sweet but crisp finish. I don’t understand why this beer isn’t rated a bit higher. I’m not even a fan of pilsners but if more of them were as well-crafted as this, I would seek them out more often.
