No head, no lacing ,highly carbonated, citrussy aroma, I thought I picked up a little maltiness, with heavy hop flavor. It comes across like a Heineken till you swallow with a grapefruit like finish (heavy cascade hops perhaps ?)

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear, pale yellow in color with a creamy, tall, frothy white head. Aroma reveals spray starch, dryer sheets, crisp lemons and spruce trees. Sweetness prevails in a sugar bread formation. Lemon shortbread cookies help pronounce a decent balance of pils hop levels and malt profile. Finishes like lemon biscotti. Formidable.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours very pale straw gold with a tall fizzy white head. Very crisp grassy grainy aroma, nice sharp hops. Very nice carbonation keeps this very crisp and refreshing emphasizing the hops in the finish.

This pours a very pale yellow, well carbonated body with a short-lived bubbly white head. The aroma is faint and consists mainly of herbal hops. Medium-to-light bodied, it’s got a light sweet malt taste with a fairly crisp, dry hoppy finish. Drinkable, but not very exciting.

O.K., so it’s overpriced and being pushed as an import in a green bottle with German writing and very little reference to CA. Even to the point that retailers put it in the import section. But the good news is ... this is an outstanding European Pilsener! Wonderful appearance with tight carbonation and great foam characteristics. Nice bouquet of hops and malt without the typical US-micro characteristics. Ample bitterness and crisp clean finish. Better than the American competition, at the top of European Pilseners. A real treat which deserves great recognition. Don’t believe me? Get on an airplane to Germany and try all the thin, highly attenuated, lackluster Pils beers. Herr Braumeister, Sie haben mit diesem Pilsener Spitzenarbeit geleistet, und ich möchte mich bei Ihnen bedanken, daß ein solches Bier nun auch in Amerika gebraut wird!

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
The bottle poured a light golden yellow polished beverage with an ample white rocky head that lasted a good long time leaving nice lacing on the glass. The aroma was the typical pilsner skunk with some light malt undertones and floral notes. If it weren’t for the cost, this would make a great lawnmower beer. The mouthfeel is watery and the initial taste is unimpressive, good, or bad. The middle and end are crisp and clean leaving a memory of hop bitterness but just barely.
